The actor that played matilda here is extremely talented. She persevered through her voice crack at the start and continued to produce an excellent piece of Musical Theatre
@gru8177 Жыл бұрын
im pretty sure they played her song in a higher key than normal according to other comments, so she did AMAZING considering she had to go much higher than she was used to.
@mjlynch2842 Жыл бұрын
@Gru is right, they raised the key of Naughty to put it in the same key as revolting children, so she did awesome considering it was higher than usual!!

Matilda is so successful because we all still carry the feeling of being helpless as children, and seeing them take action is so inspiring.

oh my lord... I’m like 90% sure the orchestra played that in the wrong key. and those kids rolled with it. I saw it live and it sounds much higher here. especially matildas part in the beginning.
@lucywalker92842 жыл бұрын
I think Matilda’s part was higher so it was in the same key as revolting children so they could transfer between the two smoothly but props to Matilda for doing it higher!
@tashaglam48242 жыл бұрын

Agreed, my favorite section and I've rewinded and rewatched every frame more than I can count. It is on their official soundtrack and I've found the KZbin version. I listen to the Amazon song on repeat. I haven't seen the musical, so I cannot confirm if they've sung the mashup live. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bXjIaWyNqtqYrdE&ab_channel=OriginalBroadwayCastOfMatildaTheMusical-Topic
