possibly Matty feels guilt over destroying a personal and unreplaceable audio file of Olympia's father, then she shakes off her feelings about this and says 'we are not friends' to remind herself that she can't afford the luxury of any kind of softness about Olympia as she pursues her quest to essentially destroy that law firm.

You know, that makes alot of sense now. Matty is a great person in both regards so her actually gaining closeness to Olympia could be a dangerous move for her mission.
