I am the lamest chess players ever, who sometimes takes great chunk of his day to solve a chess problem. Why is this sport so captivating? Why is Mato making it sweet, when it's so bitter. I've been around the "Tube" and keep coming back, cause this is not only the best chess channel, but one of the best there is.

I love playing the Albin Countergambit, but my score is net very impressive. It's nice to see that great players of the past weren't afraid of complicated positions.

Greatest match to watch that never happened would be Lasker vs Tal!
@Thememeinvestigator4 жыл бұрын
Honestly probably right, I usually like the Garry Kasparov quote. Where he lost a tal and he said well tal was tal. Everyone might take that differently but I take that as when he's on he is the best

Imagine if Emanuel Lasker played against Mikhail Tal and Bobby Fishcher .it would be so awesome seeing the Best attacking player and the greatest player in the world up against Emanuel Lasker

bit too complex for me to see all the combinations..

Most of Mato's videos are not so complex. But these two players were titans. It is amazing the thinking power they had over 100 years ago.

welll Alekhine was not a strong player in 1914 this game wasnt a good game
@gunnarsamuelsson46114 жыл бұрын
@Oissev Onos I have actually analyzed the game with stockfish now and "the truth hurts" as GM finegold says. The game is full of misstakes some so big they could be considered blunders. It was very romantic play still those years. But as a human player even though Alekhines game was very weak strictly theoreticly speaking it was and still would be very hard to face OTB. He knew how to create complicated positions where he had many active pieces, too many possibilities for most humans to keep under control. :)
