Mato: 'That brilliant queen sacrifice.' Me: Oh my God, he isn't seriously going to take that pawn on g6 why can't I see that it's a good move I must be worse at chess then I even thought!' Mato: 'Neither can I, there is no queen sacrifice.' Me: 'Dammit, I keep falling for those jokes!'

I think the situation from minute 5:33 onwards would be winning! After 5:43 white would the next move his white Bishop to f5 and I am kind of thinking that black has no counter moves against the obvious checkmate that comes next when white places his Queen on h7

Alexander Craig White ends up with a bishop, a rook and 5 pawns against a queen and five pawns. 28. Ne5 Rd2 29. Nxg6 Qc6 30. Kg1 Bxf2+ 31. Qxf2 Rxf2 32. Kxf2 Qc5+ 33. Kg3 Kxg6...
@MrAmalsam

a arias I see, so the knight is protecting both d2 and g1 squares. How about bishop d3 instead. This would block the rook from getting to d2 and pin the pawn to the other rook.

As usual, Tal simply confused & exhausted his opponent. Stockfish 11 says that at move 27, Black has 3 ways to keep the game equal: Qc6, Qd8, Rg7. Black playing Rd7 was a blunder.

There are some world champions that you think they are genius because they create a piece of art that you never thought of . In this regard there are only 2 players : Alekhine and Tal.. many would argue : what about Fischer , Kasparov , etc . I would say , they study hard , calculate hard , use logical moves , press gradually then hard , but they don’t have that taste of genius.
