hello sir, when doing a matrix transformation do we always start with the transformation matrix we are given then multiply the co-ordinates or can it be any way around?

Matrix then coordinate. You cannot do coordinate x matrix if you think about it give the number of rows/columns

for 2a if you do the coordinate multiplied by the matrix instead would you still get the correct answer

You cannot multiply a coordinate by a 2x2 matrix. The matrix must come first

In Q4 the side lengths arent necessarily k, why can we assume OABC is the unit square (sides length 1)?
