How was it on deck 8? Was it very noisy or calm? Asking as I’ve booked the virtuosa for 2025 and been assigned deck 8.. have cruised with celebrity recently and loved it, they were flawless/premium in terms of service activities and entertainment. Not sure how I feel about this one.. more cons then pros in comparison to celebrity

We were towards the front and it was relatively quiet, there was nothing noticeably noisy below us (the spa I believe). However, we had some noisy neighbours opposite us in the inside cabin, lots of drunken screams at 3am, but I think that was just luck of the draw. We are hoping to do RC or Celebrity next time, some of the vlogs I’ve seen definitely makes it seem they’re both better than MSC. I’d say just go in with an open mind and get drunk to blur out the cons 😉

Great video Kevin! While we have cruised a lot we have never been on MSC so this was very interesting for us. Great job showing all the ins and outs of it. It seems to be a tad more nickle and dimey than Royal Caribbean but it seems like the upcharges are pretty worth it. The smoking in the casino would really drive me nuts, looked really bad. Can’t wait to see the rest of the cruise but this was super well done, informative and of course great editing.

You know, we were soooo close 🤏🏼 to going with RC, but couldn’t make their itineraries fit with work commitments. But having watched yours and so many other vlogs, it’s definitely on our list so we can compare and contrast the differences - maybe start with Anthem and then work our way up to Icon 😅. Cruise companies have a great way of keeping you loyal to a brand. Something Vegas could work on. Anyway can’t wait to see the rest of the series

Right off the bat, you have some great transitions. Always great. I have yet to go on a cruise, so this will be fun to watch from your perspective. It is amazing how incredible everything is knowing you are on a big boat. They have everything on there. I'll have to make that Penny Lee. Sounds great. Surprised that they do not have more bartenders working. How did they let you in the Champagne Bar? You don't look old enough to qualify to be in there. 70+ HAHA! Some great looking food. Were there dress codes? Buffets are usually busy indeed. I rarely do them in Vegas. I like Primrose at Park MGM for breakfast. I might have punched one of those smokers if they blew smoke at me. Closed due to the motion of the ocean? Come on Man! LOL Thanks for sharing. I have not seen any cruise reviews, but this is the one i would measure others against. Cheers my friend.

Kev this was an absolutely brilliant vlog/cruise review! The cruise looks amazing … well apart from some of that food that you showed first up. That leaves a little to be desired. Not sure on that one. We seen people refilling their own cups in the buffet area, but they are self-serve machines. If the cups aren’t oversized, I can’t see why the servers wouldn’t allow you to use your own cups - just ask them 👍🏼

This was May 2024. Can assure you it wasn’t banned on the Virtuosa. There were non-smoking areas of the casino that people still ignored and the rule wasn’t enforced by any of the staff.

Shame about the selfish smokers who used the casino as a smoking area and not to gamble. Hopefully their selfish behaviour will mean smoking gets banned. It's well overdue on MSC.

I believe they did try to bring in a full smoking ban early 2024, but for whatever reason this was lifted shortly before our April voyage. There were designated non-smoking areas inside the casino, but this was largely ignored and not enforced by staff 🤷🏼‍♂️.
