Awesome! It's amazing how many people don't get the Matrixbrute. They need to watch this video! One day when Arturia stops making these, people will be paying a lot of money to get one on the 2nd hand market.

Thanks. I often purchase 2nd hand gear with no or very few custom sounds, suggesting that the previous owner didn't know what they had. Unless one knows how to program interesting sounds, then one is stuck with what's on board. Sometimes the factory sounds are pretty boring, as in the case of the Waldorf Q. However, the Matrixbrute comes with some very good factory sounds. Hopefully, Arturia will continue with firmware updates and perhaps new features. At NAMM, I requested an upgrade to allow overriding modulation destinations since I often use up the four assignable slots, wanting more.

Enjoying these recreations! I don't know if you're aware: Somewhere along the way the sound quality is compromised with compression artifacts...ugh. 😞 I don't think that's how the Matrixbrute sounds in real life.

Man, for my taste your series of TD/Matrixbrute videos are the most awesome stuff about this incredible synthesizer. Hats off to you! Two questions: do you consider to sell theses patches? Would be possible to make a tutorial from zero of a complex patch with a sequenced line and two patches? It would be very useful for those who want to understand the magic you did.

Watching your videos made me buy this 2 days ago. How do you do this? Every time I put mine in split mode, it splits the keyboard in half and I can never get the 2 halfs to mesh well without 1 half interrupting the other..

You can set the spilt point anywhere. If I'm not going to transpose a sequence, I assign the lowest key to the sequence part, and the rest of the keyboard to the lead. I'm not sure what you mean by "1 half interrupting the other."

@@wedream2 i guess I'm doing it wrong. I'm trying to split preset sounds which certain ones work better than others in split mode. In your video you have a bass sequenced and you're playing a different patch along the whole keyboard. Been trying for days to figure it out.

@@teflondaprince When I split the keyboard, I assign oscillator 3 to the sequence part, and use ENV 3 to design the sound. Then I assign oscillators 1&2 to the lead. I also program in modulations through the mod matrix that I engage with a foot pedal to play a different lead sound.

No. I haven't kept up with VSTs, and I don't own any software synths. (I don't use any software based sequencers, recorders, or DAWs.) Is the Vengance Avenger VST based on any classic analogue synths? What is your experience with it?

@@wedream2 Yeah there are tons of anologue sounds and quite a lot of old vintage anologue synths that have been sampled, however it's full of anologue controllers with a very wide range of different types of synthesis such as Granular etc...basically the sounds and creation with sound is limitless. Worth a look for sure.
