I have been waiting for years for the update of Steel Panthers. Leave the game alone, and update the graphics. I like they put these updates for new games out, but it would be nice to hear some feedback from them.

Looks incredibly gorgeous with a very rich tabletop style. Looking forward to seeing the cause/effect along with the diplomacy for that reactionary effect for a sense of extra life to the war environment on a political level as well as the battlefield. Nice to see the different commanders will add variety to the war face and playstyle of the countries. Great to hear about the different resolutions and the map size on monitors for that tabletop feel along with the quality of life on features like font/ui scaling. This was a pretty good game, and I enjoyed playing it back in the day, but it had the flaw of U-boats being overly powerful. They had the ability to roam about he seas, sinking every allied ship they came across (including destroyers), and there was no counter to this. And core play test team, as I recall, had a number of U-boat fanboys in it, and as common sense nerfs to U-boats were never implemented. Instead artificial limits were placed on the total number allowed on the map at any given time, in order to preserve some semblance of game balance. Which was a less than ideal solution IMO.
