MatrixGold Line Command and Add Profile to Library

This will be the start of a series in which we go through the MatrixGold Curves Ribbon and talk about each command and all the options that you have for each command. It will be done over time, and I will try to load a set of videos for each command at one time.
I will also still be designing and showing more advanced designs and items as we work through all the commands and their options. I think most will find something in the MatirxGold Command Line options for each command that maybe they didn't know or maybe obtain a little better understanding of the options that are available for each command. If you are just starting out in 3D printing, I would recommend going with one of these printers at a low cost and get familiar with the printing and adding supports and then maybe level up to a faster and higher priced printer. Great explanations!! I have no "save as default" option for profile style. Any idea?

Load a ring rail. Chick on Profile placer. In the dynamic commands you will see three dots. click on them.. It will have one that says Save as Default style. just click on it and it should take care of it for you.

When go to add a profile to my library I follow these steps exactly, but when I save it in the shank library nothing happens. After I click on "Shank" no dialogue box opens at all. So I have no option to rename my profile. I'm pulling my hair out trying to understand why this is happening.

Were you able to figure it out? There are many ways to add new profiles. If you need more help I will make some more content on this subject.

You can do that through the migration wizard. click on the big M in the top left. at the bottom you will see legacy migration wizard. click on that and check the boxes that you want to import from older matrix programs.

Dear Don, I still have problems as profile keep showing rhino image in the library instate of the profile shape. Removed rhino from the main screen- still same… Any idea how to fix it? Pleeeeaseeee!

oh you are not getting an image of your profile in your library. Is that what you mean?

@@donsjewelrymakingandjapantrave yes. I can’t see it- only image of the rhino logo… I heard some of our forum gays facing the same problem. Checked all well: sim is correct, all correct.. but still only rhino image .. I mean- profile is saved, all working, but can’t see the shape..

After you draw your profile. Make sure it is a closed planer curve. Also make sure you adjust your seam to the middle bottom so it will flow on the curve at the right spot you want it to. then click on Add Profile to library icon and go to the command line. Click on Profile. Also, when you select the curve make sure you select it from the top or front view port not your perspective. After clicking on profile in the command line click on shank. That will give you the pop up to name the profile. You should see the profile in that box off to the right. Is this what you are seeing so far?

humm! you might try going to trouble shooting and resetting everything. I haven't had that problem. What version are you on if you don't mind me asking.
