@Snvw6 жыл бұрын
I don't mean to be rude or dismissive, but this seems incredibly invasive? Not to mention how enormous the collar is, that has to be a burden for the animal. How did this get through an ethical commission? I'm all for conservation effort, however there are rules around invasiveness that exist for a reason.

Hi....just an FYI - they are being hunted to extinction and also their habitat has been decimated due to Indonesian Palm Oil coming in and destroying West Papuan rainforest and selling it off without permision from Indigenous land owners -so a tracking collar is the least of the problems of genus Dendrolagus - the tree kangaroo

humans cant get captured & put into bags like this because humans are the smartest species on earth. if marsupials dont like it, then they should evolve to become bigger & better.
@tdiddle8950 Жыл бұрын
@SexyFace SF, humans suffer at the hands of tyrants ALL the time. There are people and entities out there that are overwhelmingly stronger than you are (and that doesn't mean they're more evolved...just more tyrannical and clannish). May you never meet such people and live happily in your bubble.

@@tekajikuyalkrul5111 But they are aware beings too with a "right" to be left alone and to follow their own destinies just like humans see themselves to be.
@tdiddle8950 Жыл бұрын
@tekajikuyalkrul5111 Say an uber race of aliens is observing the Earth and decides that humans are about to self-annihilate, which is not such an outlandish proposition. They then come down from space, capture a viable human population (which could be you or a loved one) and remove the humans to a "safe" habitate, which would inevitably be a cage. How would you feel about that? Humans feel like they are capable of making such decisions about other lifeforms. Hubris, I call it. Humans should gain some humility and perspective and stop interfering.
