That’s why fuse will always be my favourite circuit protector. Sure its one-time use, but the speed is enough to compensate for it

Was that a type at the 8:50 point where a 200 kA fuse is shown for a 25 kA fault? I assume that was a 20 kA fuse as I don’t think a 200 kA fuse should blow under 25 kA of current.

You didnt get the concept, thats interrupting power.
@LTVoyager Жыл бұрын
@@51TomasLopez50 Yes, I missed that. However, kA is a current rating, not a power rating.
@51TomasLopez50 Жыл бұрын
@@LTVoyager no man… the max rating to withstand that current. Not power a in watts.

Wait, at 21:07 the contactor does not close, the supply appears to have just been switched off to switch the lights off.

Were these energy surges supplied by a capacitor?

The only question is: where will you encounter such many hundreds folds of over current faults in contemporary grid, with so many safety devices up stream?! Primary to secondary fault of the service transformer?! With fuses on the feeder lines?! Not likely!!!

Where are the cables shorted. Please show the wiring diagram
@Berkeloid05 жыл бұрын
They clearly show how each component is wired before each test. A wiring diagram wouldn't give you any additional information that you can't already see.
