You can make Roth IRA contributions up until the tax filing deadline as long as you had earned income in the previous year. No, you cannot.

Once the asset is available on the Gemini platform, you can move it to Cold storage then to your Gemini IRA wallet. I don't think you can move it to a different exchange because of how the money originated as it's a partnership with Gemeni.

It's not necessarily a bad thing but understand the stipulations. They would have to be responsible with all the transactions providing you with typed documents and knowing all your trades. Gemini is already regulated and already provides this to you, so it's easier to use their platform. It's not a bad hack. Makes sense if you're not heavily liquid
