People seem to neglect the pedal markings of Sibelius himself, playing this piece quite dry. I've heard a lot of performances on the tube, but just once with pedal as written. The feel is quite different, I recommend trying it.

@@kamilfattouh4556 I'm sorry, I just remember having heard it once, but I regrettably can't recall the player. If I stumble on it again some time I promise I'll tell. 🙂 BTW the tempo in these particular performances are spot on in my opinion.

@@kamilfattouh4556 Indeed I'm happy to announce I found the mentioned version: kzbin.info/www/bejne/h5_Zo4eoh9GLg7M This version is on the slower side, but as you can see in my comment under the video I still liked it very much. This piece has not to be a virtuoso showmanship, it has a quite intimate character in the end.
