I loved that you shared your genuine reaction to your unplanned pregnancy! So many people don't instantly feel happy and excited. It doesn't change how much you love that baby. When I saw thar line at 19 years old my heart dropped. I always wanted a baby. I always wanted ti be young. But actually seeing it when I didn't plan it, I would have got canceled for my reaction is all I'm saying😂but my daughter is the biggest blessing I could ever receive. I would want her as mine in every lifetime. First reactions don't count😌

I agree! Even if you want them and want to be pregnant it's still scary and overwhelming.

I couldn't agree more! I like to believe that my kiddos were meant to be here but almost all weren't planned. First 2 are 10 months apart and that was shocking and hard so I got an IUD after #2 and within 18 months I was pregnant with #3. IUD was still perfectly placed and should've prevented it but just didn't. #4 was planned but born 2 months premature and was going to be the last baby. Fast forward 8 years and hubby no longer supposed to be able to make babies and baby #5 was born. My reaction to finding out I was pregnant with 3 of my 5 kiddos was most definitely not overwhelmingly joyful but I wouldn't trade any of them for the world!

The world is too judgemental for that. Why do you think they choose not to speak of such things? They’d be cancelled instantly by people who believe differently than they do. I’m sure you know the rules of conversation..No talk of politics, religion, or money. It ensures all parties involved are safe from being berated by people who aren’t you. It’s not a bad thing. It’s being polite. Ps- I didn’t know their story, so I thought this was a great podcast.
@elephantshoes21xo
@elephantshoes21xo 3 ай бұрын
@@Nicole22022God tells us that the world will hate Christians just as they hated Jesus. But that shouldn’t keep us from speaking about our faith and beliefs. Not talking about it is denying faith in God’s eyes. Because we should be living for him and not of the world. So we shouldn’t concern ourselves with what others think of us because judgement only matters when it comes from God.
@elephantshoes21xo
@elephantshoes21xo 3 ай бұрын
with that, talking about beliefs doesn’t mean you are pushing others to believe what you believe. It’s just sharing something that’s important to you. Others can disagree if they’d like.
@Nicole22022
@Nicole22022 2 ай бұрын
@@elephantshoes21xo Every human has the right to choose whether they want to speak of their religion or not. Nowhere in the bible does it state that people HAVE to do that. It’s their right to their choice, it’s not yours. If you want to shout it from the rooftops, then go ahead. It doesn’t mean these people have to. Mind your own business just like how they’re minding theirs😊. And if you could please show me where exactly in my comment did I say anything about pushing people onto a religion? With that, I would suggest to make sure you know exactly what you are saying before you actually go ahead and say it. Thanks!

I had a very isolating situation from 2020-2023 and honestly the biggest thing about me finding myself and not being in that isolating situation anymore I literally give zero f's about what other people think of me. It's the biggest lesson I had to learn and it is SO freeing honestly

I was 7 months postpartum when we got pregnant with our Second Son. I get the Stress! He was 6 weeks ank our oldest Son got Chicken Pox with 205,3 temperature, passing out on the floor. Second Son had Collic being breastfed, and we had just moved into a new house for us in a town I didn't know anyone. I was connected to my husband, Mom and the Pediatrician non-stop! I was also diagnosed with Delayed Postpartum from our oldest 's life threatening birth and then this. I had to trust the people God sent me. It was extremely hard.

My philosophy is.. if you dont have anything nice to say.. don't say anything at all. We are all different people.. just trying to do the best we can. I appreciate your honesty.. and the realism. I never got to have kids.. but its okay.. I was just a really good Aunt. Congrats on your family's and kids. Both are a true blessing.. of which I am sure you are thankful for. I had my last two (4 children total) at 38 /39 years old.. they were 13 months apart! I’ve had all 4 via C Section ❤ I was showing my oldest how to take a pregnancy test, as I had some left over from just being pregnant. I peed on the stick and told her “IF I was pregnant there wld be two lines , but this will have one because I’m not pregnant now” . I walked away to put away towels and she came running up to me a few minutes later and said “mom there are two lines “ … I stood staring at that test for SOOO long before taking several more .. all positive! 😂

I love your comments Matt! I know my husband felt it too! The emotional stuff comes. My husband and I spent A lot of time with our Parents and children, and church. It's about God and the haters are probably dealing with struggles they are not looking to God or relying on the people God gave us for support. Negativity comes from struggles between their negativity/positivity in their life. They are not looking to God for guidance. I will pray for these people!!!!

Honestly, just a side note: transition from 2-3 was SOOOO much easier for me than transitioning to 1. First baby was the hardest transition, hands down. 1 to 2 was so much easier because I already (kind of) knew what I was doing, and while 2 to 3 had some challenges to figure out in terms of more people needing me than hands I have, it was still a much more seamless transition than the first. Granted, I think a healthy gap, if it works out that way, helps, and the oldest really does become such a big helper! :) Loved the conversation!

also, another side note :) I have 3 boys (and a daughter who passed away at 24 weeks gestation)... and I still want 2 more children. I always had 5 set in my mind when thinking of my family an how many kids I could picture having. 5 was it. I get overwhelmed very easily, and my 3 boys are super energetic and I get worn down quick, BUT, it's always around the one year mark of the youngest that I start thinking about getting pregnant again... and closer to the 2 year mark where I am ready to get pregnant again. I'm feeling almost ready to get pregnant again. My boys are currently 7, 4, and 1. Even during the times I don't feel ready to be pregnant again, I still have the feeling that my family is just not "complete" and maybe since our daughter isn't here with us, I will always have that incomplete feeling... but I really do think once we have 5 children with us, I will be ready to move on to the next season of our life. Every family is different, and when you know, you know :)
