I just noticed and started on Amazon. OMG. I didnt always have access on [adult swim] when it hit the US. Such a crazy weird show, blew me and my brother's minds..some 80s US kids between cable and PBS grew up on British humor. And Dark Place's style messed with our heads. Wasnt until "The Watch" and Matt on the Sarah Silverman Program that I finally trusted Darkplace was not actually a lost 80s show. 😅 Now Matt Berry is on my Spotify! Lol

That might be fun, I don't know how many of them would be interested in doing it though. Richard Ayoade especially doesn't seem like he'd want to do Dean Learner these days, and Matt doesn't seem very interested in his old roles though he is grateful that people enjoy them. Like he says here, he had no idea something as absurd as Darkplace and the other things he was on at the time would even be aired let alone loved. I don't think you can come back to Darkplace now that it's achieved cult classic status and still approach it with the same sense of "deliberately bad in a good way people probably won't get"

​@@eddyp483 it was originally canned due to it being too expensive to produce, since they used actual old cameras and such to get the 80's feel, I'd imagine it's been so long now it would probably be more affordable and such, but hard to get commissioned due to producers/companies not holding hope in bringing back a cult series from 20 years ago.
