Matt Bianco are a British band (Matt Bianco is not a person but a band), formed in 1983. They are mainly known for their success in the mid-1980s and their jazz, Latin-flavoured music. The original line-up was Mark Reilly (vocals), Danny White (keyboards), and Kito Poncioni (bass), and the then-unknown Polish vocalist Basia Trzetrzelewska. Basia began a succesfull solo career in 1985.
This performance was recorded at the Dutch 'Platengala 1984' broadcast on 11 October 1984.
The location was the Ahoy hall in Rotterdam.

I remember being captivatwd by the weirdness of the sounds. It was like discovering something totally new and unique when i was 3 years old. Way too goofy and clownish to be a song you'd regularly listen to. Has a very weird special place in my memory

A lot of art, a lot of tuning and, above all, a lot of musical ear. She did her own harmonizations. I wish she would have had 3 more identical sisters and they would have recorded it on one track.

In '84 I managed stocks at WEA records - Matt B's first album was one of my main albums that I had to make sure was in stock. They visited the WEA Alperton site where I was working and the location where the albums/cassettes were distributed....very quiet they were indeed...hungover? possibly, but fab music and great times with fantastic people, happy days, no contest
