Matt Corby's parents would have known he was a massive talent from a young age. At 16 he was on Australian Idol and he was the 2007 the runner up. Although I don't think he enjoyed that experience much and has kept to the indie scene since that time. You would be able to find clips of his audition and 'Idol journey' on youtube. But the stuff he is doing now is so much better because now it all comes from his authentic self
