To improve and come up with stuff is so creative and Robin Williams could do that often! I think it just pops out of your brain cause I can do that come up stuff and go where in the hell that come from??😂. I tend to do that with jokes, or when I compare different things.

schmoo, pay and acknowledge the man who invented good will hunting, the guy who gave you everything. he suggested Robin Williams for the shrink and a lot more. then you dissed that man twice in 10025 and in 10024 on the street as if he didn't give you the key to your careers. what unkind ungrateful even hateful you have been to him.

Nope he needs to age some more if Ryan was 18 in 1944 and the movie released in 1998 that would put him at 72. Matt Damon is only 52 years old. I would say he's got a bit more aging to do but nice try 😉

As a Retired Hospice nurse. One of the greatest movies Robin Williams ever made was “What Dreams May Come” about a Doctor who’s children with their nanny are killed in car accidents. His wife is an Artist that suffers understandable severe depression when He is killed in a car accident . The majority of the movie is his awareness he is in heaven and reuniting with his family even after he finds from his “guide”his wife comitted suicide and how he could possibly “save” her and reunite his family. I have frequently suggested that family watch it together to comfort them and ease some of the fear of death.

In the mid 90’s, my grandma lived in San Francisco and would take us walking around the rich neighborhoods during the holidays to look at all the decorations. One sunny day in October we turned a corner and Samuel L Jackson and Robin Williams (I didn’t quite know who they were as I was around 6 or 7) were outside holding a basketball talking to a delivery person. My grandma walked up and politely introduced herself to Mr. Jackson and reintroduced herself to Mr. Williams (he did a lot of stand up in the city in the 70’s). They both showed me how to bounce a basketball and Robin Williams ran inside and grabbed a Polaroid camera and my grandma took a picture of me trying to spin a basketball on my finger, Samuel L Jackson,and Robin Williams. She pulls it out at least once a year and I still can’t believe I had such a genuine and holism moment with 2 extremely famous people.

It is impressive that Matt and Ben wrote Good Will Hunting when they were still so young. That proves that they truly are talented on so many levels. And Ben an Matt (especially) were amazing in that movie. But Robin Williams made that movie come together like no one else ever could. Robin showed one of his best acting in that movie. That moments on that park bench, Robin's dialogue. If that didn't hit you in the heart, you are dead.. R.I.P. Robin Williams. If you read into the history of this more what happened was that Ben and Matt initially wrote a completely different script that was more of an action movie based more around the relationship between Matt and Ben's characters. They had passed the script to Rob Reiner who made the suggestion that they base the story around Matt and his relationship with Robins character and Matt's undiscovered genius. They basically rewrote the entire script. Excellent by all means, but wouldn't be the same movie without Reiners suggestions..
@michaeld1889

@@AlexanderBuck1973 That's really cool. It would definitely had been a different movie based around Will and Chuckie AND an action movie. I guarantee you that wouldn't have been made and I mean, winning the Oscar definitely proved they made the right choice lol. It actually speaks pretty highly of Ben Affleck as a screenwriter and actor to be open to scaling his character's role back a little more. A lesser actor/writer might not have been willing to put story over ego first. He still got to have one of the best moments in the movie though (the ending) and clearly, has done well for himself in the years since. Even with his struggles, he's proven himself, culminating with his redemption/vindication in the movie "Argo."

did an independent film 2 summers ago and had a small part in it and during one of the days we were shooting we had an older gentleman give us an old car from the 60’s to use because it was a film about the Vietnam war and he told us a story of how he was on set one day and robin came up to him and broke the ice and started joking and had a long conversation with him. Robin Williams was really a one of a kind human being and entertainer. He was always one of my favorites and I remember being so upset when he passed, but that story will always stick with me about who he truly was.

My grandpa told me a story of how he met Robin in our hometown Seattle. My grandpa used to work at a record shop and he was walking in as robin was walking out and robin commented to him “what’s with all these damn planes over here” and my grandpa just responded by telling him that the airport was 20 miles south so they were in direct path for planes coming in and out. Not a crazy story but my grandpa remembers him as a kind and funny guy and it’s easy to see why.

@wynn1587he did not do that on purpose, he would hear it and parrot it out when he started going, the comics knew this and if he was performing they wouldn't use their good material. But he wasn't malicious about it.

So lucky to meet Robin as he was walking thru the Common- on his way to do "The monologue" on the bench. I had no idea what the movie was about, but he was so sweet and nice and it was just he and I, and he told me- "you want to know who you need to watch, who was terrific....". he pointed over to Matt about 5oo ft away. He said he was gonna be something. He said Steven Spielberg just called him to be in his next movie to play Ryan in saving pt Ryan" HE loved Boston and the people here loved him too.

By any measure, Robin Williams was brilliant. When heard he died by suicide (while wrestling against an aggressive terminal brain disease) I was so saddened for him, his family & loved ones. The death of no other comedian, actor or entertainer has ever touched me nearly as much, nor seemed so befuddling & tragic. Those who knew him & worked with him & of course loved him must have felt the same even more intensely. Fortunately, the brilliance of his talent & the heartfelt laughter & joy he imparted throughout all his roles will outlive & forever outshine the sad circumstances of Robin Williams’ untimely demise. He was an extraordinary star & his name will live on forever as 1 of the best most touching & funny entertainers of all time.

Even though it's been years since he left us, and even though I never knew him personally or met him in the real world, I'm still profoundly affected by his absence like the grief one feels after the death of a well-loved family member or very close friend!

@@gabrielaleactus9932 It is purported that he had Lewy Body Dementia. Unfortunately dementia is just a description of the severity level and the ways to get there are many. It is purported that he was diagnosed with Parkinson's, but to be honest that doesn't clarify much on the end. Both are very different but share many overlapping symptoms and both carry a very significant cost to quality of life for most people.

@@peterdearborn I'm afraid you don't know what you're talking about. It wasn't purported. He was confirmed to have Lewy Body Dementia. LBD can only be confirmed through autopsy. Which they did. His wife confirmed that they did. LBD causes parkinsonian symptoms, among other things. It is NOT like other forms of dementia.
@TheFiddleFaddle
@TheFiddleFaddle Жыл бұрын
@@gabrielaleactus9932 Lewy Body Dementia manifests as all the worst mental disorders. The reason is because of the build up in all parts of the brain of Lewy Bodies. They affect motor functions, cognitive awareness, speech, memory, everything. It's a grab bag of depression, paranoia, physical and cognitive impairment, hallucinations, etc. Most people who live long enough to die "naturally" from it end up dying from pneumonia because they can't swallow their own saliva. We don't know what particular issue Robin Williams was dealing with at the time he took his life. What we do know, about how this disease works, is it works fast. My mom lasted 8 years from the time she first started showing symptoms. Most people don't last 5. Before that time, all indications are Robin Williams was the happy, loving person, husband, and father he presented to the world.
