Trevor Brennan has a very good Austin Healy story in his book. Ireland were playing England and Brennan tackled Healy in a ruck. Brennan said it was one of those tackles where you lead with your head. Healy’s face was splattered. The ref apologised to Martin Johnson saying that they did not know who did it, it could have been any one of the 15 Players. Johnson said not to worry it could have been any one of the 29 players on the field.

I’m a Welsh fan so am obliged not to like Healey but met him at a coaching event once. I was on my own not knowing anyone or knowing what to do and he started chucking the ball back and for with me. Lifelong fan now!
