I have the excellent Voigtländer Nokton 50mm 1.0 Aspherical, which in daylight at aperture are outstanding, at night at apertureture 1.0, you can handhold it at ISO 100, darker locations at ISO 320 and it is sharp from center to edge, I can highly recommend the Voigtländer Nokton 1.0 Aspherical, it is built like a tank and will last for many years !

Looks like a keeper, especially for the price and the added bonus of not needing an FTZ.

Cheers Moz, yes it's fun, and looking good.

I have been thinking about rigging out an electric bike for trails and nature photography. I bet i could build a gimbal mount! Cool lens Matt, well done! Have a great day.

If you build that gimbal mount let me know. I’d love one for the bike. Was always the plan just never worked it out

I hope they make a 35mm version. I'll definitely get that one

I’m using a Laowa Argus 0.95 Z fitting for low light arty photography on my ZF. It’s large / heavy but gives interesting dreamy images .. Had a great time using it handheld on Bourbon St, New Orleans in March . F1.2 seemed to produce the best Bokeh. Another interesting lens and video though but very specialist use . My next low light adventure is the Neon Museum in Las Vegas later this month

I wonder how close I can come to the images you got when I use my Nikkor Z 50mm f/1.8. I'll give it a try (from the opposite side of the planet).

I know there are no “contacts” on this lens to transmit the EXIF information, but do you see a focus box that turns green when you reach focus?
@RichardFraser-y9tАй бұрын
You just need to manually tell the camera the focal length, the autofocus system still can figure it out even if it doesn't ' drive ' the lens.

I would like to see photos of the city of Melbourne at Christmas time, taken at night after a rain. Similar to your shot of the bicycles after a rain that was used in a calendar .

I have watched videos of this NoNikkor Glass and Peak design Travel tripod. What I want to know is about your bicycle? I got something like it and with Woke I do not know if it is for Boys or girls. I guess both. My upper bar is higher than a girls but I think the one I own is for either. Huffy Trail Runner, Shimano equipped. Cheers!

I specifically went for this design, in order to be able to step through the frame often, as I always knew I would use it as a bike for shooting, which means I get on and off it a lot each trip, probably more than 50 times in a session. It is a version of this bike www.electrickicks.com.au/products/aventon-aventure-2-step-over-electric-bike

Thanks again for the demanding test! Other topic. I'm really looking forward to a 16-18mm f/1.2 FF Nikon Z lens. Nikon really neglects fast wide-angle Z lenses.The current 20mm f/1.8 is simply too weak/just enough for astrophotography or night shots.
@MattIrwinPhotographyАй бұрын
I am sure Nikon are aware of the need for more wide angle lenses, although the 14-24 is very good :)
@thomasblaubergerАй бұрын
@MattIrwinPhotography You have right - the 14-24mm f/2.8 an excellent lens when there's enough light. The problem starts when I need 'every single photon' by a dark theme. An f/1.2 lens can let in about 8x as much light as an f/2.8 lens. And that's a radical difference in low light.
@MattIrwinPhotographyАй бұрын
@@thomasblauberger Well let's keep our fingers crossed and watch this space :)

An unusual request...I wouldn’t hold your breath! The Viltrox 16mm sounds like your cup of tea? I’ve bought the Sigma 14mm f1.8 F mount to stop that need. I’ll bet the f1.4 version doesn’t make it to Z mount, sadly.
@thomasblaubergerАй бұрын
@dominiclester3232 In terms of viewing angle, these are really good lenses, but the min. aperture (f/1.8) is still not enough. Nikon doesn't want to do its homework for some reason...

pretty images, but I will stick with my /Canon FD 50mm f/1.2 and a LM/FD adapter for the Leica and just basic lenses for the Nikon ZF

I always wondered why Nikkon allows this company call themselves "Nonikkor". Seeing your channel is sponsored by Nikon Australia (or affiliate link) I wonder if that Company is in some sort of cooperation with Nikon?

Commenting just to participate. :^) for some reason 50mm, so far, don't fit either my use case (which could change) or my tastes - not a focal length I tend to come close to using. I seem to be fairly wide or LONG. But. I can see where some folks would get a real kick out of it.
