I record with my Zoom Q3 HD and put it right next to the drums so that the drums can be heard more clearly than the other instruments. And since I am at the back of the stage I can hear the drums better because the amplifiers are directed outward toward the audience...

To this day Matt has the best posture and also an admirable physique due to a healthy lifestyle. And when he is not drumming he is sweating out in the farmlands of Lancaster. Posture is key today. The opposite is a drummer named Chris Turner he has terrible posture.

No, that's definitely a mapex kit. He's most likely only using a mapex kit due to backline issues ((I.e. a truth kit wasn't available or not enough time, etc)
