Anyone else feel like he just sings everything up an octave from what he does on the album?
@poorlake81073 жыл бұрын
I don’t know, but he definitely does not do so. Sometimes within the layers vocals there is a lower octave somewhere like in the song “Beyond Oblivion” where it sounds more prominent in the mix but live he does sing the higher one. In the album the tone of his voice sounds much darker and raspier than the one he uses here but it is most definitely unsustainable when singing five days a week on stream. Just changing where one positions a note can make it sound more thin or full thus making it sound like it is higher or lower than it actually is.

imo vocals are problem in general. Track is great. Anyway, loooking at the comments, people don't see any problem in Matt's vocals, so probably I'm alone with this:)
@midnitesnack1203 жыл бұрын
Your vocals sound way harder and heavier on the recordings of pretty much everything and it’s not even close to the same live. Maybe its to conserve your voice and not blow it out? I don’t know. What I do know is that it’s a huge bummer to hear you singing in a way softer tone live. It takes away from a huge element of the sound, especially this one with the ending.
@nameless77973 жыл бұрын
Yes, since Silence in the Snow era he is singing to clean/soft. Just in the recordings he's still badass.
@joshpaladino71283 жыл бұрын
He's mentioned on Twitch streams that the screaming technique he uses now is much safer than his old technique which caused him to blow out his voice. He still records the albums with the old technique, but for everyday purposes on Twitch he's not going all out or else he would blow out his voice again. Hope that makes sense, that's how he's explained it in the past.
