My family are the same. No confidence in me whatsoever. No support. Everybody telling me it's a bad idea. But I've been training hard for 4 months now and people who have seen my progress seem a little more open to it, little by little. My dad was a world class athlete back in his day and while I'm not built quite like him or nearly as big, I finally managed to beat him and saw a hint of approval when he admitted that I'm getting strong. Hopefully I don't get utterly destroyed in my first comp. Even one win would make it worth it and motivate me to train for the next one.

You know, one of my most favorite things about AW is, of course, the arm someone brings to the table...but also the character and disposition of the guy! They seem to often be at extremes from one another. One is a wild assed crazy mf 😣, who seems on the verge of explosion...the other, a very calm, cool, and collected individual 😴, who is basically the silent type. I like both types, but I must admit, the braggarts can be a real turn-off...even if they constantly win and feel they have bragging rights! Of course, in the heat of battle it is almost impossible to stave off emotions! As always, I thoroughly enjoy your vids! 😄

Yes grippers are excellent, try Captains of Crush maybe 1 or 1.5 and work your way from there, or maybe GHP 4 or 5.
