Telepaths are one of the most powerful people not only can they read your thoughts and communicate with you in your head if trained correctly they can do a huge amount of things. they can plant ideas and thoughts in your head that would make you change your course of action. Telepaths can make us change our emotions as well.

I totally agree. But imho, Heroes has the absolute best version of the power; you can actually tell the difference between hearing a person’s thoughts, and hearing them speak with their voice. Whereas on Charmed (even though I’ve never seen that series, I did see a clip where telepathy is used), when a person’s thoughts are heard by someone using the ability, there is absolutely NO distinction between verbal words and the person’s thoughts whatsoever; the only way to tell they’re thinking something, is if their lips don’t move. Pretty confusing, not to mention cheesy, if you ask me. Heroes got it right!! 👍🏻

He can also project impressions and make things disappear or appear as if it really happened without them noticing the differences, and do mind tricks, like trap you inside your own mind, he can make someone experience his worst nightmare in an ongoing replay. But this is revealed in season 4 I think.

In the early episodes, when peter and matt read each others minds, it's like a microphone too close to a speaker. Feedback loop and pain. Eventually matt got so much better at it it only hurt peter.

I wonder if this is one of the places where the idea of nosebleeds while using powers came from. Like 11 in Stranger Things. In my opinion I think nosebleeds are a sign of weakness.
