No, it is NOT easy to write an hour's worth of material and deliver it efficiently. If it was easy, then Matt would be equally known for his pre-written material instead of being mostly known for his crowd work. Traditional stand-up and crowd work are two different forms of comedy. They require different skill sets, are both difficult, and are both impressive for their own reasons.

Actually it is really hard to do an entire show from doing improv only....!! Most comedians can do improv for a little bit but not for an entire show, it's also just as hard for a comedian to write an entire comedy show....!! That's why Dave Chappell is the best...!! Dave can do an entire improv show, an entire written show and even an entire skit show....!! Most comedians are lucky to be able to accomplish one of those out of the three, to be able do two out of the three is fantastic but to actually do all three is amazing, almost unachievable and that's why Dave is known as the goat from all the other comedians....!! I love the fact that Dave is there for the newer upcoming comedians, instead of trying to compete with them he actually gives them props and any advice he can...!! Matt has stated that Dave gave him some of the best advice he's received concerning the industry, something like if it weren't for Dave he'd have probably done thing's he'd later regret in life and that Dave saved him a lot of money in the long run......!!

Working the the audience (improv) is his gig....!! Not all comedians can do what Matt does and that's base their entire show doing improv only....!! Most can do improv for a little bit but not enough for an entire show the way Matt does....! After the girl had a seizure we all thought the show was ruined. Instead of ignoring the women like that didn't just happen. Which would of made everyone feel uncomfortable. Matt straight up turned her episode into a comedy, enriching the whole show.

Seriously, have you never watched Dave Chappell....?!! Sure Matt's hilarious but Dave is 100 time's funnier than Matt....!! Dave's shows are even better, he does improve comedy at the beginning of his shows and then he goes into his comedy bit....!but....!! Dave is even good to the newer comedians, unlike a lot of them in that industry who only hate on the newer ones....!! Matt has stated that Dave gave him some really good advice that even saved him a lot of money and also advice about not taking every opportunity that comes his way just for the money so he doesn't get burned out and do thing's he might regret later on in life...!!
