I am sorry Matt, in medical terminology a hug represents a diagnosis of a terminal illness, it's an accepted gesture whenever a doctor doesn't know how to verbally deliver the news. Additionally, a kiss in the forehead means a few days to live, a pat on the back a few months, an ass grab means less than 24 hours, and no additional gesture means you still have a few years left. It might be time to start going through your bucket list and make your will. It's not often that Ligma evolves to this degree, but it's always sad to see it happen

i was born with a pretty shitty pair of lungs and i had to see a pulmonary doctor very frequently up until last year (since i’m an adult now and it was at children’s hospital lol) and the very first one i had was such a great doctor. he was one of those people that you can tell they love their job. i can’t remember how old i was, but he eventually told my mom and i that he was retiring and i genuinely wanted to cry. he gave me a hug at the end of the appointment, and that was the only time i’ve ever received a hug from a doctor lol.

a dr never hugged me but i had a pediatrician who would always say things like 'god bless your poor heart' and he cried one time giving my parents some paper work, he was so cool, i later dated a guy in hs who had the same doctor, he said dude never said anything like that to him, i later found out that i had a medical condition that'll just get worse until my early to mid 40s or so and my parents just decided not to tell me the long of it until after i wasted time and mental health score on getting a college degree, life is fun
