This sort of content may seem trivial or annoying to some but I think its actually extremely important. You can tell that Daily Wire welcomes the influence of Gen Z and Millennials and this is especially on display in the editing style of these videos. The cutaways to pop culture references, memes, and fourth-wall breaking notes by the editor is the editing style of choice for younger content creators and that's what their audiences like. They realize the importance of connecting with young people and showing that you don't have to be and old, rigid person to have conservative values. Then you have the collabs with people like Tim Pool and all of the things they're doing to try to influence culture. DW really is doing the most.

8:40 Tim Pool just casually zero-frames on everyone, what a gamer
@diane94962 жыл бұрын
Wtf is that
@ujiltromm73582 жыл бұрын
@@diane9496 I'm guessing it's a glitch in the game code that allows going through what's known as "collision boxes". You see, visual geometry and collision geometry have two different purposes, the former to be shown as intricate and detailed as possible within the capabilities of the computer running the game, the latter to be invisible and as simple as possible to decrease collision computing time to a minimum, the collision code being meant to avoid such mishaps as "running through walls", or in this case "driving through walls". Simulations are fickle things though. Simulations give the illusion of real-time continuity through fast discrete updates, 50 or 60 times a second (every 0.02s or 0.01667s) in this case, as that's the framerate depending on the region of the game (NTSC or PAL). Before the next frame is drawn, the position of each player is computed and updated and the scenes are rendered based on those positions (among other things). However, whatever should happen between those updates is discarded (maybe that's what is being referred as a "zero-frame"? Like, what happens in-between frames is "not a frame"?) Should the game compute that on the next update the player ends up in the collision box that pushes the player back from the wall on the other side, then it's all good, the game will happily put the player there and compute whatever is happening after, allowing the skip/shortcut. I hope I made enough sense.

Spot on. Once gaming switched to only online and away from split screen, something was lost. We had a large group that would play soul calibur for hours hanging out with the loser passing the controller on. I think 3 marriages that are still together today came out of those "useless" gaming hangouts. One of them being one of my best friends cousins I married. Ran into her after 15 years and our first date was digging out a Dreamcast to settle an old argument over which character was the best lol. Kids now have become isolated by the very things that used to bond us together. Now they just talk into a headset to strangers they'll never meet and it's a damn shame.
