If a woman can’t bare children, that is a defect, but doctors will know she’s still a woman based of everything internal. The reason no one can define it is because it is an abstract concept that is hard to describe because it means so many different things to so many different people. On a purely biological basis, you could say males are people with xy chromosome, but roughly 1 in 1000 males have xyy chromosomes instead with and even smaller amount even having xx chromosomes. These people are still definitely considered males, most of them you can't even tell they're not xy without a DNA test.

What's funny is that gender isn't even something people should even care about. But the sad problem is people want to find and identify with no matter how abstract that is, I'm pretty sure it's closely tied to ego. The main reason I think people may avoid the actual question stated in the actual video is that they legitimately don't know. They may associate gender with social roles that they are fighting, really ironic. Why would your body be important to your identity? sure change your body, maybe disfigure your own face for fun but gender is what you have. NOT who you are. It's not often people can identify why they do what they do and honestly not being able to know why is probably for the best. Don't want egotistical "people" running around thinking dumb CONCEPTS. Personally, how i'd answer it is: Woman as in sex is a person with two X sexual chromosomes except for some anomalies in which it is determined by an other chromosome Woman as in gender is a person who identifies mostly with socially feminine traits. If a person supports trangenderism, then they automatically support gender role and gender stereotype. That's my take.

I had a genderfluid phase and ngl it's the most embarrassing thing i’ve ever done. Looking back I was at a really bad place mentally, now that I healed from my depression I know who and what I am. I see similar patterns within the trans community, so many of them suffer from depression and other mental issues. I hope they all find peace and comfort in their lives/minds. I am so glad that I "woke up" and don’t defend that kind of behavior anymore especially when it comes to children. I don’t hate those people, I simply feel bad for them. I wonder how they feel once they realize how crazy all of this is.

Your experience is your experience that only you can hold. Saying that because you found out you are not gender fluid is not applicable to every single person. There was a documentary by the New Yorker that followed this Christian mother in Texas that has a four year old that was born male but identifies as a girl. The mom came from a very conservative background and would advocate against the lgbt and say that they need to be helped through therapy she was a strong believer in conversion therapy. But her persistent child kept saying she was a girl the mom even tried conversion therapy but the kid kept saying that she was a girl. One day the kid prayed to Jesus to take her home because she can't live as a boy. So the mom saw that she was forcing her kid to live a miserable life and may very well one day lose her kid. The mom decided what would be best for her kid is to listen and support her child rather than force her kid to live how the mom wanted. Now the kid is happy and able to be a kid and the mom advocates for gender affirming care for children.

Gender dysphoria is no joke and the people that suffer it do suffer. I'm glad I don't have gender dysphoria and I wish no one did but the reality is people do have gender dysphoria so what are they supposed to do be miserable just because some intolerant sacks of crap don't want them to exist? Jamie Raines is one of the scariest people around. Their mindset is so ridged and they have such a huge following of young impressionable people. Beware, this persons acts as the epitome of innocence and wholesomeness but he really believes that now he has transitioned is really is a man. You cannot argue with him. The reason it is such a good question, is because it defeats their entire argument if they have to use the correct definitions. They always have to talk around it, come up with some kind of mental gymnastics, in order to never mention that only women can give birth, or breast feed, or have periods etc. The moment they admit to that, is the moment they can no longer claim that men can be women (because men can't give birth, or breast feed, or have periods etc). I think it’s sad How civil discussions can’t be held. You have Matt insulting Jamie and Jamie insulting Matt. The problem with the video is not that it’s transphobic. It’s the intention of the video. Because while Matt is trying to define a woman, the reason behind it is not clearly stated. You can use biological terms but humans are defined by society and perceptions. It isn’t as simple as Matt wants it to be. The reason Matt is so childish is due to his need of stirring the pot. And then he wonders why he gets so much hate. Discussing gender reaffirming surgery is a valid topic since it is directly affecting children. But linking it to chemical castration of pedophiles is something he does intentionally to ridicule well-researched methods. He even ridicules people with PhDs. What is the point? Who is he trying to convince? Himself or other people? This is why someone like me who is not a trans person is finding it hard to see things from both sides. Hence Matt makes it harder to see perspectives from the more conservative side and people either hop on his trend of using “basic science” as a means of defining people or choose to stick by trans peoples. The whole thing is stupid and is yet another way for Matt to spread his political sphere of influence and manipulate people. The claim that anyone can "be" a woman seems to imply that there is a certain set of attributes, preferences, and behaviours required for womanhood. It's easy to see why certain sectors of feminism are so strongly opposed to the idea of trans women being categorically women. If what you want is for everyone to have the same rights and opportunities in life and not to be discriminated against based on their gender, surely assigning gender to genitals is the LEAST restrictive, discriminatory, prescriptive definition you could possibly choose?

When I was working on my psych degree I was horrified by the markers 'correcting' one of my assignments where I used sex and gender interchangeably. The marker said that sex was biological and gender was an identity. This was back in the noughties. My faith in the higher education institution I was attending and the field I was studying was shaken quite considerably I can tell you. For all of the history of the English language and before, sex and gender meant the same thing. To hear such garbage coming from people who were meant to be experts was disheartening to say the least.

As whilst they feel like women, others (e.g. on the street) do not see them in this way. It can be very hard to feel like a woman but yet constantly be called sir due to how you present to others. This is part of why transgender people transition. Having female aspects of your body is associated with femininity and therefore being a woman but not having them does not mean that you are not (association is not causation). Furthermore, the gender dysmorphia which they have is eased by transitioning (seeing aspects of your body which relate to / associate with your gender can be helpful for trans people).

The universe has objective realities eg light/dark, water/solid, male/female - and these brainwashed identitarians would have us all start believing at best the opposite of what is true; at worst, that there is nothing objectively true. My guy the reason trans people exist is because they struggle with gender dysphoria, it's something that they where already born with, it's not a choice. I had this discussion with someone I worked with who came out to everyone as trans and said he was afraid of backlash because he wasn’t sure how people lined up politically. He said there was violence towards trans people and they are being killed. My response to that was “it’s 2022, trans issues are front and center in the MSM, so do you actually believe that if a trans person was attacked for being trans that CNN or MSNBC wouldn’t be all over that story and blast it 24/7?” It made him stop and think rather than spewing talking points.

Like I said, Matt is a man because it is plainly evident by his body composition and he has XY chromosomes. I’m almost convinced not to pursue it. I can’t even finish my fourth degree, and I’m at the very end. A person can't be "trans" to begin with. That's a false identity made up for people who deny their true sex, so they drug and mutilate themselves in an attempt to look more like someone of the opposite sex.
