They have comedy training not to say they are funny but they know how comedy works.

Well actually from what some groups and even the full movie includes, enough people do know who he is, that bit in the trailer where he gets chased out, yeah that's because several people there recognized him and quickly realized what he was there to do and why he brought cameras with him when he started becoming disruptive and rude like a racist does

Even Republicans say "it's bad". The problem is not recognizing racism when you see it. The ways it's baked into society and our institutions. The way it impacts others without us realizing it. The ways we engage in it casually and unconsciously. And those things don't necessarily make someone a bad person, but refusing to discuss it at all because your only understanding of racism is men in white hoods and slavery means that you'll unwittingly perpetuate the harm caused by the more insidious ways it impacts people. And refusing to discuss it because you like the ways it makes your life easier and makes you feel superior...that makes you Matt Walsh. And Matt would love to convince everyone that they don't need to talk about it and there is no conversation to be had.
