this match is the reason WWE signed Kairi Sane/Hojo and Io Shirai, and pretty much also Mayu Iwantani on the map, as she's also in this match as Yurei, Mayu went on to wrestle in ROH for a short time as part of a partnership between Stardom and ROH where Mayu became one of 2 women's wrestlers to have the honor of wrestling in both the Tokyo Dome and Madison Square Garden (the other one is the late Hana Kimura, who wrestled the same ROH/NJPW G1 Supercard event at MSG and wrestled against Mayu at WrestleKingdom 14 in 2020 in it's preshow Stardom special dark match in a women's tag match). also Kairi in this match was much a prototype of the version of herself she would become as one half of the Kabuki Warriors, minus the samurai war paint she wore during the heel version of the Kabuki Warriors team to show her unity with Asuka aka KANA in Japan. and Io Shirai wearing leather was a foreshadowing of her during her post NXT heel turn Joshi Judas persona that she adopted after the heel turn.

Best episode of the season cannot praise it enough this episode was LU in absoloute top prime form....please bring them back in season 4 and beyond Lucha and give them all the belts.

nope, it's Kairi Sane/Hojo, Io Shirai and Stardom's Mayu Iwatani, Shida never worked in Lucha Underground, and if she did, her hair at the time was a mix of Black and Blonde so you would had recognized her hair. and at the time of this match's taping, Kairi and Io were still in Stardom, this match solely put Kairi and Io in WWE's radar and they were signed by WWE within a year for Kairi and 2 years later for Io after it aired.

yep, aka Rey Horus, who now is in ROH, he was taught by Rey Mysterio Sr and previously went by "El Hijo Del Rey Misterio" after the OG EHDRM aka Rey Mysterio Sr's Son (Rey Mysterio Jr aka Rey Myserio in WWE and LU is in fact his cousin and Rey Sr is his uncle).

This was a really awesome match, but it did highlight for me a big part of why I think Pentagon is the most overrated guy on the roster (not BAD, but people rave about him like he's the second coming of Shawn Michaels, so definitely "overrated"). All three girls (Kairi Hojo, Io Shirai and Mayu Iwatani) sold every ounce of Pentagon's offence like fucking _death,_ it was genuinely uncomfortable to see the amount of pain he seemed to be inflicting on them because they were such amazing sellers, but in return he had a hard time being assed to sell _anything_ they did to him- they'd hit him with a huge move and he'd put on a pained face and roll around for a bit, then jump up and kick their legs out from under them. His _offensive_ psychology is exceptional, but he can't sell on anything _like_ the same level.
