I aboslutely adore his color! I know he is still becoming lighter, but at the moment he looks as if every hair was hand drawn with a soft pencil and it us such a beautiful shimmering graphite color. I hope he can find a good home.

It's almost a shame that his coloring will lighten as he gets older. He's so handsome right now. But he will be pretty with dapples too. I'm glad that he came to Matt and his trainers that will bring the horse along slowly so he won't get overworked while he's basically a very large baby. Ungido has a lovely temperament and his future owner will be very happy.

You have no idea how much I appreciate you saying how your being careful because of the horse’s age. So many start horses at 2 and just go right into training regardless of how young they are. My dad’s mare was started this way and pushed too hard and too fast to be a reiner and it caused physical issues and trust issues, lucky for her my dad bought her pretty early on in her life, but it took her years to learn to actually trust and relax, even though he never asked anything of her besides trail rides and quiet arena rides. These horses are still babies, people need to not be in such a hurry, you have all their lives to compete and train, let them grow up first. Some work and training is fine, but take is slow. This beautiful boy is going to be awesome :) Can’t wait for the Chase update!

Hi Matt, have you considered purchasing a Friesian and training him/her? I noticed how beautiful this horse is yet I remember you admired the Friesian stallion you and Emporio had 'a play date" with a few weeks ago. I've been following the channel from the Netherlands/Friesland that breeds the Friesians and wondered if you've given them a thought to train as those are extremely beautiful horses as well. Even in the field they look very gracefull.

Matt, i know not everyone had supportive about what your doing but keep on doing it. Thanks to you, all these horses are getting better lives then what they would in spain. More people know where to go of they want the breed and your horses are so sweet. Gido seemed to love being spoiled. So expressive and sweet. I think he'd look beautiful if he did develop some dapples. Thanks for letting us see more of this beautiful horse breed. (I know if i saw the abuse in real life I'd probably do something)

This is a very beautiful horse with fantastic temperament. And great color as well. Matt the way you are handling the overall training and care for these beautiful horses is the best way. To be able to feel they are healthy and safe for others to ride is indeed high priority. Wish more people felt this way. I have one question OK, and I'm not picking on you so please don't take it that way. But noticed he was drooling quite heavily is this because he is not used to your types of bits or him just being young. No I do not own a horse but it doesn't stop me from loving and caring about them. As for owning one now, I'm 72 and have too many issues from work injuries to even hope of having one. But I can still enjoy horses and people like you and Jess who are so great with all your horses. Hope you will answer my question, and thank you so very much for sharing your experiences. Keep up the great work best always Rusty in OK

He’s beautiful! Have you ever thought about the French method of training (ie walk, trot, canter on a loose rein - allowing the stretch through the body and down the neck)? It allows the horse to find ‘him/herself’ each ride and the journey to connection comes a lot easier:)

This works for some horses but you’ll find this breed tends to hold them selves very tight. The rider actually has a decently long rein

I agree with you. I never want to see the head behind vertical. The last with stretches looked the best. I also don’t use a bit some of the time. Some sensitive horses just don’t like them and do better without.

Training takes patience, treat the horse with respect. This video shows good side of the horse. In the United States there are breeders that shock, whip the horse in order to preform trotting in a high fashion.
