I get what you mean about Sally Mae's horns: the pattern is less stripe and more... herringbone. Striker's horns have a little of that too, though their shape hides it more. Seems like it's a rare (recessive maybe?) pattern, like humans with blue eyes. It's neat, though. I always appreciate how Hazbin and Helluva put so much care and flair into character design, even one who is relatively tertiary, like Sally Mae.

The reason it was used here is likely because it was referenced in _The Thing_ (and McMurdo Sound was a major location in "At the Mountains of Madness", one of the books from the Cthulhu Mythos -- Viv's made numerous references to Cosmic Horror so far).

If your talking about Beelzebub's party then no, those take place on a ring of hell that the sinners can't reach. If Verosika's Blitzo recovery parties then also a no, it's in the living world and also out of reach of sinners. Lastly she's would only qualify for the later if she gets in a real relationship with Blitzo and he messes things up, but I don't see Blitzo going for it. If anything I would expect that she ends up with a crowd that needs recovery from a relationship with her.

Sallie’s horn bands are just naturally chevrons. It’s not as common as straight bands, but they do pop up time to time. Cash (Blitzø’s father) also had chevron bands on his horns, and there was no. Way he would have wasted the money on getting those painted on.

The writers and creators know what they are doing. These shorts are so cool and with some scenes from the season 2 trailer it's obvious, foreshadowing. 1. Short. Milie will most likely lose her right eye; 2. Short. Blitz's problem with the Asmodeus crystal won't work if he's under stress. --------- #That was explained and fixed, but we'll see it might not work again. 3. Short. Foreshadowing Stolas and Blitz's relationship, we will most likely end up in a situation in Sinsmas where Blitzo will try to protect Stolas from [ Adrealfus/ Satan himself.] Who knows...?

Out of them, Antarctica is my fav 😂. For some reason, the randomness of it just hits different. The one with Millie and her sister was adorable. I unfortunately knew someone in HS that was a monster lover girly ( We were the only 2 who wrote fanfic and would meet in the library to talk that stuff. Wasn't into the same thing, writing Batman "what if?" stories was my favorite.) She was always going on about some drama and getting threats. Only Helluva Boss would be crude enough to make this a plot point, but when the Antarctica short came out fans realized there's evidence in multiple other episodes about whether Blitz is a) "a top" and b) does not, er, treat crystals right. Conclusion: Blitz was lying on both counts. He really does lie all the time, which makes his moments of sincerity in the Apology Tour episode even more significant. (Also I'm 99% sure Millie was wrong and the crystal was just too cold to work properly.) "She shipped Scrimbleson with Shawnathan instead of Blorbinzo" is a sentence that makes perfect sense on Tumblr and no sense anywhere else. 😆

It's so nice to have a story with a trans character that ...isn't about them being a trans character. Like, as a trans person, it's refreshing just to have trans folks existing in the world and being allowed to tell stories that have nothing to do with gender. Coming out stories are important, but like, so is representation where it's not a big deal :) Anyway, I like that a lot. Also love the casual scattering of trans folks in the background in a lot of episodes, for the same reason. Yep, McMurdo is a real place, it's been used in a bunch of horror stories because it's so remote, and it works well when you want a slightly less complicated "space station" vibe without the space travel. It's almost as difficult to get messages in and out, and going outside requires similar levels of preparation. I love their little tail warmers 🤣 I love that the terrifying beast at the is an angry leopard seal. Not even a zombie or anything. Have you seen leopard seals? They're TERRIFYING, I absolutely believe it would take multiple shotgun blasts to stop one charging. I've seen a lot of reactors theorizing it was somehow possessed, but honestly it's far more amusing to me if it's... just grumpy wildlife 🤣 I don't know why that delights me, but it does. No idea what's up with the penguins being murderous. But the inside of their mouths really do look like that. Full of backward facing spikes to grab and hold fish. Nasty AF. If you haven't already, you might want to check out DeadEndia (a comic) and/or Dead End: Paranormal Park (its Netflix adaptation). One of the two main characters is a trans teenager, and the story is largely focused on the mysteries surrounding the haunted, paranormal creature-infested amusement park they work at. His backstory does include a family disagreement related to his identity (of which his immediate family is supportive), but it's a nonissue among his friends and coworkers. :) Also, as someone who grew up favoring nonfiction books about animals and dinosaurs over children's literature, I concur - the leopard seal has the word "leopard" in its name for a reason. Cute and curious creatures when all is well, but deadly as _fuck_ if you piss them off. :D
