From the comments, I seem to feel that Westerners’ understanding of China is still stuck in the last century, while Chinese people are full of yearning for the West through textbooks and TV. The Chinese government has always liked to report on the good side, including reports from the West. Chinese people think that the West is very advanced, developed and wealthy, but in fact the West is not a paradise. China is not what Westerners imagine, and everyone lacks understanding of each other
@michael5111288 ай бұрын
It’s actually a lot like that. The Chinese Ministry termed it Cultural Hegemony in its 2023 article US Hegemony and Its Perils. Cultural Hegemony starts with promoting white supremacy to its own populations of the Anglo Saxon world. 8 media companies control 90% of what Americans read, watch and hear including publishers of children books and textbooks. Hollywood movies occupied 70% of global markets. Before people know it, kids of all races have learned to sing Frozen’s Let It Go and fell in love with white princes and princesses. Then they dream of putting on wedding gowns and celebrate Christmas 🎄. Often westerners use the word “culture” like interesting culture or fascinating culture. Actually it’s burned in their minds that they are the superior culture and others are interesting, fascinating, exotic, or beautiful, the same vocabulary for loving animals or flowers. The pictures of Indians or tribesmen were in their children books.

The so-called “fake” means that the same product has similar appearance and functions, but there is another real product for comparison, but in this video The bloggers have never seen any simulated products in person from beginning to end, and can only verbally say that these are fake. Do "authenticity" and "fakeness" only depend on Westerners' mouths? ! China attaches great importance to intellectual property rights. Most of the things you see, regardless of the size of the company or factory, have their own brands. What you call "fake" should be the result of brainwashing by the Western media! 🙄

Not to judge a book by its cover and to believe everything you are told. Perfect statement. Here I would like to share my friendly conversation with a young American couple recently. I have met a young couple in Thailand recently. They were from US and they were traveling from Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and then to Cambodia and Vietnam and before going back to US. We have happened to have a casual friendly conversation and I have asked them since they are so near to China, why not go to China just for a few days to see China. I told them China is very interesting, But I was surprised of what they told me. They said according to all their media reports in US and advice by their government and many people. They were advice and told not to travel to China. Even their parents don't allow them to go to China. They were told China is not a safe country to travel. Very dirty, poor rundown infrastructures, poor transportation system, polluted, homeless people are everywhere waiting to rob tourists are common even in broad daylight. Chances of been detained for no reason by the Communist is very high. Because China is an authoritarian state and all foreign visitors are monitored by thousands of cameras everywhere, every minute where foreign visitors go. Foreign visitors from western countries can be detained for months or even years for no reason. All these is what they know about China. The couple is like below 25 years of age and already so badly brainwashed by their government and controlled media. This is really sad.

@@globetrotterbengaluru, they do, but they are so brainwashed to believe that anything from KZbins with positive report or showing good thing about China to them it is fake and paid by CPC to create. The same as most Indians people believe nothing is good in China and India is 20 times better than China. If any news or video clip showing positive about China, most Indians will say and believe it is fake news.

As Chinese, Great Wall means a lot to us. It's a symbol of determination and courage. That's a motto in Chinese saying that you are not courageous enough if haven't been the Great Wall. You may like to learn that you had actually climbed to the tower labeled Hero Tower. Well done you👍
