@@MattandJulia The sky was clear blue and the white of the buildings was dazzling. The only downside were these tiny irritating flies that followed me everywhere, until I learnt from the locals that they didn't like vanilla. So after a visit to a pharmacy and smelling of vanilla I was sightseeing in comfort. And yes it really did work.

It was so nice to hear how your fellow travelers on the train were so hospitable and kind to you. The more that I get to learn about the two of you, the more I realize that it must be your "aura or vibes" that you guys give off that seems to bring out the kindness and generosity of strangers. 🤗❤👍💯 People just gravitate to you and enjoy your company. This is not just amazing to observe but it is such a heartwarming thing to see. The old city was fascinating and the church(cathedral?) was impressive. Cemeteries always make me wonder about the lives of the departed.🤔 As always, thanks for a thoroughly enjoyable vlog. Happy belated Birthday, Julia. May both of you have a great weekend.

Great video. Happy Belated Birthday Julia. One thing I’m finding so fascinating is the architecture and the way cities laid out. I know when I was a older teen ( a long time ago lol) I was always so intrigued by the then called Soviet Union and could never really get much info or pictures or video to see your beautiful country. Now all these years later, I’m discovering so much about Russia. I’m so fascinated and would very much love to travel to Russia. I may have said before my youngest brother has been and loved the country. Maybe one day when all this covid shit is done with. I’ve been trying to get to Europe for the past 2 years now without success.

This place looks very nice indeed. Sleek and modern. Not at all what I would have expected. And the historical buildings all look nicely preserved too. Here in Europe most would expect Russia to look like an Orwellian dystopia. It's great that you are showing these places on YT. One question though, Where are all the people? Many of the streets you walk on look deserted.
