Been using his drawings to learn proportions and so on myself, it started out difficult but I'm learning, the only real problems I have left: - I suck at drawing breasts - My legs don't look like legs -arms - hands. Omg hands.
@danielribeiro97203 жыл бұрын
Akihito taught me so much about proportions too, it's amazing how much information you can deduct out of his drawings. He has a video about how to draw breasts, and I think the legs is more about how to use S and C curves together and in balance("Figure Drawing Design and Invention" is a good book that talks more in depth about this subject) , hope it helps.
@satanm8c403 жыл бұрын
@@danielribeiro9720 Thanks man, been drawing for about a week so every bit helps, I sadly never really drew as a kid or "have talent" for it, so imma make that talent with practice. And it's indeed alot about the curves, the legs I draw often look too straight even when trying to curve it

One good trick to see where your drawins are off on is to flip your image to the other side(Turn whatever it is that your drawing around so you can see through it) What that is gonna force you to do is to look for reference points.Reference/cue points come from anatomy bones.For example,a joint/bone in a specific spot from a human can be drawn out from.Memorize YOUR reference point.It isnt gonna be the exact same as someone elses.Go look at how many famous artists draw Sailor Moon for example,youll notice that every version from the source is a different take on her.Why that is? Because of the difference REFERENCE points taken from there studies.

@@zeokenx2 Ah, no. Lmao, I'm extremely bad with symmetry and such. I'm sticking to learning proportion and perspective now. Then I'll start with drawing more symmetric and details and such. My actual problems lie with hands, feet, and face. Never get the face right. I can draw eyes but I can't draw em tiny on paper lol. Or symmetric or such.

i have a friend who used to draw like this all the time, and people always made fun of how bad his drawings looked with all those lings. Uncultured people didn't really see the potential this type of drawing has. Personally for me, as a game dev, this kind of art for concept art really gives a good sense of proportions and how straight or curved a surface should be to look good, and with all the extra lines it helps imagine topology before even starting modelling... this kind of drawing has so many uses, but for me, that's the main use it has. Wish more people could see this type of design technique for what it's actually worth, since you can achieve a lot by starting out like this.
Thanks for sharing your work! It makes me wanna draw again, so thanks again 🙏

I love the way you casually sketch. I can never do that. I still can't figure it out. How.
@michaelskywalker30893 жыл бұрын
From what I can see he always sticks to the same process. He will draw an initial element, usually the head at a specific size and angle to establish the proportion and perspective of the character. He always draws guiding lines that establish the stance of the figure. He incorporates line drawing and sci-fi fantasy elements to connect the character. It is just a matter of drawing in the details of the face, hands and body curves.
@alexnewtodrawing23023 жыл бұрын
If you want to learn how to sketch I suggest you start with gesture drawing. It's a relatively easy thing to get into and will greatly improve your observation skills. Personally after 7 months I have seen huge results in my drawings.
