I'll keep saying it, and I don't care how much hate I get. There are very few true Colorado football fans. Most of these people are casual Deion Sanders stans and they don't know squat about college football. The overwhelming majority of these people didn't even know Colorado had a football program 2 years ago, and they couldn't find Boulder on a map. Deion Sanders is the polar opposite of Dabo Swinney, but in a negative way. Dabo puts everything on high school recruiting and wants no part of the portal, yet Sanders wants nothing to do with high school recruiting and puts everything on the portal and neither one of these is the recipe for success in today's college football. Every season that goes by that Dieon isn't out there pounding the recruiting trail, is another year that this program is falling behind and the next coach that takes over when Dieon leaves them high and dry will have to rebuild even longer. The fact that he's not recruiting high schoolers and he told you to your face that he has no interest in high school visits, he's telling you that he's going to leave you once his boys and Hunter go to the NFL but you can't see the forest for all of the trees. What do you think's going to happen to this roster and team when both his boys and Hunter and Horn are all four gone, because once they leave, the talent level drops off massively. They're backup quarterback we saw last night would struggle to make rhe roster on a good group of five team, nonetheless a power 4 team. It's not that Sanders can't run the ball, or develop these players, it's the fact that he's only interested in passing every down so he can pad his sons and Hunter's stats and get them drafted as high as possible. This man is not a serious football coach. It doesn't matter how much you want him to be, or wish that he was, he's not going to be in coaching much longer. He's a great talker, he's great at working the crowd, he's great at his little one liners and he would be an elite motivational speaker, but he's an average college football coach at best. You got all the people in the sports media and on ESPN, many of which conveniently are his close friends, who's been sucking his ass and handling him with kid gloves and attacking anyone who's critical of him, but mark my words the tides are about to turn and they're all about to turn on him. In the World of Sports, winning fixes everything, and losing destroys everything, and nobody likes to be attached to a loser.

Yeah the stat padding operation became clear as day when they tried to run a fade route at the end of their first game instead of just running the clock out. Sanders claimed afterwards his son wasn't suppose to do that and he was just quote, "being nice trying to get yards for a guy who hadn't had any". I think that is just a bullshit lie/excuse to cover for what was blatant stat padding at the possible expense of losing the damn game. Lack of recruiting is definitely a sign he doesn't plan on hanging around.

The first problem at Colorado is, they are not a team, when shedeur sanders came out of the game, instead of standing on the sidelines to encourage his “teammates” he goes into the locker room, I get the game was over long long before this, but still those guys are still on the field and playing hard, and shedeur is supposed to be the leader of that team, leaders don’t abandon the people who follow him. Coach prime has built that program around his son and it’s starting to look like that’s the only reason he took the Colorado job, to get his son some publicity and get him to the nfl Let’s see if coach prime leaves when his son does.

This is my observable opinion: The way Coach Prime introduced himself to the Colorado Buffaloes football team once he officially departed from Jackson State, I believe, put Coach Prime in the predicament he's been in with the Colorado Buffaloes football program 🤷. He came in hot and heavy, and it rubbed some people the wrong way, and many players left the program that they could've built from while just adding a few transfer players and a few high school scholarship players. Since then, they've been playing catch-up the whole time 🤷. I can be wrong, though 🤷. Not to mention, the run-play schemes are trash 🗑.

If I'm not mistaken, Coach Prime predicted that the rushing game would be greatly improved upon from week one! CU beat Nebraska last year and they only won 4 games, so it did nothing for them. CU will be judged at the end of the season and they need to at least make a bowl game this year. They are not contenders for the playoff or is a top team, so showing improvement year after year helps a program grow. People need to remember that Prime took over a 1 win team that hadn't won 5 games since 2019. They are now 1-1 for the season and need to regroup. The loss no longer matters, only the next game does. They will need to win at least 3 or 4 of the next 6 games to put themselves in position to make a bowl game. They lost a few games last year where they could have won and become bowl eligible, so they have to stay focused week after week to get the job done. Beating Nebraska isn't the goal and going 2-1 on the season after next week puts them back on track before conference games.

See, my thing is this. For me it’s not so much that he’s brash and a big personality. It’s the fact that he talks a big game and his team goes out there and gets shit piped after he talks big. Sure his insufferable fans who could care less about Colorado, cause whether he gets fired or leaves, all these fans Colorado think they have are gonna scurry away like roaches when the lights come on. This is a program where he said it himself, he does not recruit high school players. He’s all about the portal, which is not a recipe for success. I just looked at his transfer recruiting ranking from the last year, ok he only got 4 4star recruits but he got 33 3 star recruits. I mean sure you can find a diamond in a 3 star but the odds are very low, and not to mention you have to have a top tear coaching staff and top notch player development to even remotely get an team like this to punch above their weight class and he doesn’t have that. You can’t build a program solely on portal kids you need to get high level high school talent to mesh. But he has no sustained track record of even getting players to the league and that’s what top tear players who are four or five star recruits want. I think he knows he can’t sit in the living room with a recruit and his family and sell them on anything cause he has nothing to sell but his name and his name won’t get you to the league. So he relies on the portal almost exclusively. Which isn’t a great recipe for sustained success. I don’t really care if I get hate for this comment but facts are facts and facts don’t care about feelings. Oh and when I say get guys to the league. I’m taking 1st or 2nd round draft picks, top 10 draft picks and multiple players not just 1 or 2 guys

As a Nebraska fan I’m still hesitant to say we’re back. We are competitive, but not going to say “back” in the context of national championship contention. Maybe we can win our division if the right butterfly beats its wings at the right time, MAYBE. We’re still conservative on the offensive side of the ball, maybe that’ll change as we get into rhythm. But we need a field goal kicker, badly. We are at least showing some real promise and I’m very happy for the team.

I was at the game last night, and was walking up the stairs with my wife to our seats. As we are waiting in line to go out to our seats from inside the Stadium, we walked past a few CU frat boys sitting inside the stadium talking about how their seats are in direct sunlight and should just wait down here in the shade so they don’t get to hot. I was a little boozed up so I turned to my wife and mockingly yell “GrEaTeSt FaNs iN CoLlEgE fOoTbAlL CaNt SiT in DiReCt SuNLiGhT” everyone around cheered. I say all that to show your right when you say all the “NEW”Colorado fans because all it takes is a little direct sunlight to shut them up. Memorial Stadium hasn’t had a lot to cheer for a long time but people still show up every Saturday in the rain, snow and worse of all direct sunlight so for these die hard Coloardo fans that watched there first CU game a whole 12 months ago call themselves the greatest fan base is just insulting. Last night Memorial stadium was electric (I don’t have a voice today) and we showed old Prime Time what the greatest fans in college football actually look like. No one can even critique Dion or this team in fear of being labeled haters or racist, when in fact I think it's actually them that are racist. Any coach, regardless of skin color, who keeps proving to be mediocre, and keeps losing gets called out by the media and fans. They are Deion fans, not Colorado fans. When Deion leaves which will be soon as soon as his sons leave, the Deion fans will follow him to the next school. Wherever he goes at D1 level he will not be able to sustain the culutre = circus he brings. True fans have been seeing the "cracks". Deion talks like he is the one playing, all it brings is failure at this level. Minutes before the game he was asked about Raiola. He said "We gone get em", and what happened? I grew up in Colorado and am old, watched them with my dad back in the day when they were actually good. I was excited about Deion getting hired and went to the USC game last year. This year, to me we are seeing “the emperor has no clothes”. I think Deion has basically reached his peak as a coach and is going to resign at the end of the season. Deion has at least put Colorado back on the map and maybe it will make it easier for them to recruit a decent coach again. But the program is still going to be a mess once Deion leaves with his tail tucked between his legs because he hasn’t been recruiting and trying to build a program for the long term. When I went to the CU vs USC game last year, I randomly talked to a number of different people at the game and a lot of them said they had flown in from different places for the game. I’m glad I didn’t buy any tickets for this season. They are crazy expensive and wouldn’t be worth it. Minimum is somewhere around 200-250 a seat even directly from the school last I knew. That said, I’ve been a Colorado fan since I was a young kid 35+ years ago; most of these “fans” talking smack are just Deion fans.

He just telling them to go out there and play and if you can't play up to deion standard u hit the portal and he'll grab sb who can play up to that standard. I don't get how so many CU fans don't realize Deion can't coach college football. he knows technique and the game from a NFL player standpoint. he never took the time to learn the game from a coaching standpoint. you have to develop talent this isnt the nfl where u just pick guys from FA or make trades.

This games was not even as close as the score suggests. I watched the entire game, every snap and this game should have been a 40-50 pt blow out! Something weird happened because in the second half the refs kept calling terrible penalties, usually when Nebraska got a first down. This happened over and over, I’m telling you right now, the refs definitely got a call from somebody at halftime and told em to put the brakes on Nebraska. This game was more like a 56-3 type game. I predicted from the start of the season that Colorado would win only 2 games all season, if they get super lucky they might win 4. Well, the good news is that we only have to put up it for one more season, no way Dion is going to be in Colorado. Come next season.
