Still not really liking that they aren't really having long drives, explosive plays are nice and all, but what happens when they need to drain the clock against an actual good team? Last season showed the problem with only relying on explosiveness, every drive felt like it would stall until they had that 1 play that went for a TD, and when they didn't, it would just result in a punt. The run game is definitely looking better, but it's also hard to say because of the level of competition, so I could just be worrying over nothing. Defense also looks soft at times, can't be having teams put an 8+ minute drive together that ends in a TD, especially in close games. Still loving the energy the team has though, guys are looking loose and seems like they are having fun, which shouldn't have to be separated from winning.

What bothers me about this Bama team is we cant sustain offensive drives. Were explosive and that great but when you consistently lose the time of possession battle we leave our defense on the feild 80+ plays a game and by the 4 quarter defense is gassed. It will bite us in the ass
@RollTideRoll_GSPАй бұрын

“Our standard hasn’t dropped since Saban left” complete Bs lol imagine expecting no fall off after the greatest coach ever hangs it up, straight up delusional 😂😂😂
@DiamondPaintWithDiamondDaveАй бұрын
Keeping the standard and performing on-field at the same level right away under a new coach with a new scheme are two different things. The team and the coaching staff are still learning each other while also trying to learn and perfect a whole new type of play-calling. The Standard is what breeds successful on-field performance due to studying and practicing with discipline, determination, and effort until what is done in practice becomes second nature on the field. The Standard is a philosophy and work ethic. It's pretty obvious that this team has kept the Standard, otherwise they would not look as good as they already do. This team will continue to improve, and they will be the scary Bama that everyone is used to probably sooner rather than later. The only difference I've seen so far has been that DeBoer allows them a little more leeway in being individuals, and expressing themselves. Saban kept the boys on a short leash when it came to celebrations, and even trash-talking on the field. DeBoer expects the same work ethic that Saban did each and every day, either at practice or in the game, but also allows them to have fun while doing so.

Show me a team that has perfect games right out of the gate with a new coach, and a whole new scheme. Making the inevitable mistakes is best done against unranked teams so as to recognize them and get them in check for when it really matters against the real competition. The teams that end up losing to the unranked opponents are the ones that lose sight of the big picture and/or fail to recognize and correct mistakes in real-time during the game and let it get out of hand until it's too late.

AJ McCarron 3. Tua 4. Mac Jones BAMA QB’s: Deal Threat that didn’t win Natties 1. Blake Simms 2. If not for the fans, there wouldnt be a team to begin with. Fans suffer the pain of losses, and the thrills in victories just as much as the players and coaches do. You obviously didn’t watch the game today! He probably played the best game of his career and made several big time throws! Dude looked very good and I’ve rode him as hard as anyone. He’ll win the Heisman if he continues to play like he did today!

@@RollTideRoll_GSPSo no need to ever complete that 3rd and 11 ? 3rd and 9. Take away the deep ball and keep a spy or two in. Then what

Relax Matt 😅 Malichai only had a concussion and Robert Young and the other fellow who's name I haven't memorized yet only have a sprained ankle at worst. Georgia lost one of their starting players on the O-line today😬

I really like milroe and think he’s a great dynamic player, the things he does well he does amazingly well, my problem with milroe is the other things, bama is gonna play teams who will be able to shut down the run and will be able to limit the big plays and that brings us to the things milroe hasn’t done that well, sustained drives with the shorter throws if milroe can get better at that part of the game he’ll be a complete player.

Shut down the run AND the big passes/plays? Damn is Bama going up against an NFL defense? I get what you’re trying to say but that’s going to be way easier said than done for an opposing defense. With the players that this offense has.
