E has a letter frequency of almost 13% in English, making it quite the task. In French, it's an even bigger task since it has a frequency of 15%, and German is at 16% (since all indefinite and definite (save for nominative/accusative neuter definite article) contains E). In Spanish, A is almost as frequent as E, and in Portuguese, A is actually more frequent at 15%, with E right behind. Esperanto, being a constructed language, as A at 12%, I at 10% and then E at 9%. Turkish is another language with A at 12% with E right behind. Polish as the top 4 as A, I, O, E, which might explain why Esperanto is as it is. Finnish top 5 is A, I, N, T, E, and a language with two consonants more frequent than E. So the point is, this task will change in difficulty depending on language, and that you can't use E for every language.

My question is, is this the frequency in speech or in a list of words? Because words such as 'the' are used very, very often and have the letter e in them and so e appears a lot in language, more so than it would if all words had the same frequency. Words like floccinaucinihilipilification don't have an e in them, but they're used very rarely. What I'm trying to say is that it's much harder when core words have the letter e. Like the, as opposed to zygostatical, which no one would ever use and which would then falsely represent how common specific letters are in English speech.

On a similar note, there was a guy who wrote a physics paper without using any words of Latin origin and only anglo-germanic words titled "uncleftish beholding". Although, unlike Matt, he did that because he believed he was 'cleansing the English language of impurities'... I'll let you figure out how racist the guy was Edit: Forgive me, many people have correctly pointed out that Poul Anderson (the writer of uncleftish beholding) was not publicly racist- I had mistaken him for Australian composer Percy Grainger who did a similar thing of preferring to speak/compose using anglo-germanic words which he called "blue-eyed English" and was quite an open believer of aryanism. Also, the act of excluding words of certain origin in itself is not racist, such as Navajo wanting to preserve their heritage and history by not borrowing English words, but in the case of Grainger, his intent and motivation to exclude Greek, French and Latin words was racist.

When you said "I'm doing this vid-" I gasped at how you almost finished the word. Scripted or not, that was very clever

I’m starting to think that it might allow for a fascinating and difficult training of my mind to do this. Not for it’s practicality, but for a bit of inwards facing thought. I find I’m not thinking of my words or my own dictation mostly, not as a young mirror may. And this brings a stimulus I say is not too dissimilar to mindful rumination, a focus long lost.

I wanted to say meditation and mindful rumination was about the best I could manage. SMH.

Thank you for providing thought-provoking stuff by way of talking without using a particular symbol. Although it is a bit fun to lay out symbols without using a particular symbol, it is still a task. Also, RIP Dad

This short film was such a thrill to watch, I wish I could do such loquacios and surprising tricks that you did. I truly glorify your capability in british idiomas. Good job! I look forward to similar original productions from you P.S.: I finally did it, a _dictum_ that contains not that un-said symbol
