I finally got the chance to sit down and listen to this entire album-it’s the kind you need to consume in one sitting, piece-by-piece, devouring every morsel. I’ve been repeating it for literally 12+ hours. No exaggeration at all. I don’t know if I’ll ever fully digest every flavor this record gives, but I’ll commit to trying for as along as there is music. There’s something very, very different about this album from his others. Something changed somewhere inside of Matt and it’s evident. I can’t quite place what that something is, but it resonates with something deep in me. Reminds me of my favorite quote in literature. “Whatever stuff souls are made of, his and mine are the same.” This is what they call “good stuff.” ❤

I've been a Matt Corby superfan for over 10 years...I've seen him live on three occasions: 1st - Rockhal Main Hall in Luxembourg, November 2012 (it was a FREE show believe it or not) 2nd - The Crocodile in Seattle, January 2016 3rd - Crystal Ballroom in Portland, May 2016 Every single time I hear him live it brings me to tears, and this recording is no exception.
