Bro 1000% made this video for me, thank you man. It’s even more convinced me that upgrading to 16 pro max is unnecessary. Yes arguably the numbers are better, 8 ram is 2 more then 6 ram, 33 hours battery is 4 more then 29 hours, 2000 nit is 800-900 nit more then 1100-1200 nit, etc etc but all these improvements are so marginal to not even really be noticeable unless you’re using your phone like a gaming console. If you’re an avid gamer, then yes this upgrade is going to be amazing. Don’t get me wrong game on my phone, but I don’t use it as a replacement for my Xbox. So I’m not gonna be really utilizing all the bells and whistles. The only thing this has to offer over my 13 Pro Max is Apple Intelligence, which the 15 promax also has.. thank you for making this video! Really helped me come to a final decision

As a photographer/videographer, it’s really the camera that’s making me upgrade from the 13 pro to the 16 pro, the differences are far more noticeable once you take pics side by side, i’ve went iphone 7, 8, 11 pro, 12 then 13 pro but skipped the 14 and 15

That 12 MP tetraprism is a really good sensor but the 17 Pro Max/Ultra is rumoured for a 48 MP tetraprism module

Iphone kind of focuses on quality when zooming in, a strong sensor. Zooming in you will get a all around better photo regardless of it being 12 mp, 48mp or even 50 mp, iphones 12 mp will focus on having a better lens and better image processing software. Where as samsung and other phones, you may be able to zoom in more, but when both zoomed in 10x Iphone will have the clear better picture regardless of MP. There are expectations with some random android phones like huawei but youre spending an arm and leg for phones like that. Genuinely though iphone will take the better photo zoomed in its not really about the megapixels.

The 16 Pro is probably better with a better sensor than my 13, but since the rumors are strong about the 17, I am still thinking about waiting.

@wilsonfutrell1833 rumors are rumors, im a android user coming from One Plus and samsung (currently using the s24, one plus 12 is better) The iphone 16 zoom is superior no debate(camera zoom wise) the 17 is not going to be much different. The 16 is a different phone than the 13 and 15 all around(besides keeping the 60hz) in my eyes the 16 is the new base of iphone for the next couple years. Everything you want iphone wise is in the 16. Camera is far superior than the 13. The zoom on the 16 is better than one plus, samsung and google. If you want to wait then wait but i personally believe the 17 wont be much different than the 16. The 16 however is far superior than the 13 and even the 15.

Hey Matt, great review! It actually confirmed what I already believed that the iPhone 16 pro is just an upgraded iPhone from the 13 pro model from a few years back. I love my 13 pro and it’s still very relevant and reliable in these times. I am not a fan of intrusive AI. The camera bump is nice, but not enough for me to pull the trigger on a new iPhone. I will say the longer battery life is a great advantage for the 16 pro models. Also, if I give up my 13 pro, then I lose some ability to use important accessories (like my Shure MV88 mic) I need for my KZbin shorts creation with its lightening port. Well, that’s a long explanation, but I always say get the iPhone you want after Apple Events. But also, never be afraid to stick with the iPhone you have! I think mine has at least a couple of more good years ahead!

I still have the 13 pro and even after 3 yrs I never had any problem with the phone. The last phone which I used for more than 3 yrs was the Samsung s6 edge plus and I used that phone till 2019. After that I bought the One plus 7 and then iPhone 12,13 and finally settled with 13 pro. All the phone I used were good but I always felt something was lacking and wanted to upgrade everytime new phones were being released. But the 13 pro ticks all the boxes for me and hoping to use for 3-4 yrs more before upgrading😊

I have a IPhone 13PM and I considered upgrading to the IPhone 16PM. While it is a decent upgrade it’s not a necessity. iPhone 13PM is still solid enough for another 2 years or so. I ordered the Iphone 16 Pro Max one hour after launch since I had a meeting at 7:00 AM central time and the Apple website was still in standby at 7:00AM. So it is scheduled for delivery for the first week in October. The cost was $1,700 out the door for the 512 Gig model with a 2 year extended warranty. I use wireless charging on my Iphone 13 Pro Max so no need to change the charging since it charges overnight anyway. My Uconnect radio in my Jeep is Iphone compatible so I just need to change to a USB-3 to USB-C cable to run my maps and music on demand app in my 2020 Jeep.

I would like some feedback. I got a 13 Pro Max 1TB (Sierra blue). I love this phone. Recently someone sold me a 15 Pro Max 1 TB (BNIB) for $650 USD. I haven’t opened it yet. Now I’m in a conundrum. Do I keep my 13 Pro Max? I just recently had the battery changed at the Apple Store (under warranty). Should I open and start using the 15 Pro Max and sell off my 13 Pro Max? Definitely worth the upgrade. Everybody is crying that it’s not worth the upgrade. Verizon and Best Buy are literally giving $1000 trade-in credit applied over the course of the 3 years contract (for the 13 pro max). That’s $198 for the 16 pro max. It’s a no brainer

I’m still on the 13 Pro Max. I’m a photographer/videographer so I only upgrade for the cameras. The camera upgrades this year were cool I guess but I’m definitely waiting another year. Hoping Apple puts a 48mp sensor on the telephoto lens next year. That way we have 48mp all across the board with cameras. Only camera left to upgrade would be the front facing camera.

Thank you for this video. It confirmed my not upgrading from the IPhone 13 Pro Max to the 16 Pro Max. As Flossy Carter said: “Thank you IPhone for selling the same phone twice”. In fact it, it has been the same phone since the 12. I don’t care about Apple intelligence or if it still has lightning plug. I always use wireless charging in place of the plug. As for upgrading, I won’t do it until forced to or a new designed phone comes out, or the Ultra comes out. But then, they would probably just change the name from Pro Max to Ultra and not change the design (ala Samsung).

I have the 15PM and would upgrade just for the slow motion thing lol. But I don’t have the money. Plus I’d rather actually upgrade my Watch s9 to an s10 first if I could (which I also can’t).

Only have 13 pro today and 16 pro max have enough oomph for me to buy it. but i like to upgrade every 3yers and also i supply my older phones to my mother and her husband since they are retirees

My 13promax has been absolutely great since day one I’m still happy with it so I was on the fence but I think 3 years of tech improvements is good enough for me
