Matt, you have done it again! I have many JH albums, but I am unaware of this item. This astonishing track could have come from the ECM label today, let alone from 1968! What a band, although the reality of getting gigs playing such complex music would have been far and few between. A good example of this was a heartbreaking account of the Jimmy Guiffre Trio, playing music from their Free Jazz period in a bar. At the end of the set, they were paid just three cents. As you have already stated Joe didn't expect to be appreciated in his lifetime but his stoic pragmatism proved he was right even then. Keep up the magnificent work.
