That is what I thought. She was such a good girl, but by the end she had gotten very tired from standing all that time. I also believe she might have had some arthritis in her back leg, she couldn't stand on it long when he lifted the other back leg to shave under her. Beautiful girl!!

it's a popular breed on both sides of the Adriatic Sea, and - as is always the case - people who go for popular breeds are often unaware of the time and trouble needed when the popular breed has a feature (often a feature which contributes to its popularity) which needs a lot of care. Those breeders who are just breeding for profit, not for the love of the breed, have no incentive to make buyers aware, in fact they probably minimise the issue if anyone thinks to ask - this applies in every single country in the world, with different breeds.

Damjan, why do you groomers trim the nails first instead shaving off the fur. Wouldn't it be easier to shave the paw pads and around the nails and then clip the nails last?

First of all: It was high time for a good grooming. But in my opinion this cut isn't a Lagoon Cut! It is much too short, nearly naked, but this could be discussed because of the taste of the owner. At least and for sure NOT Lagotto like ist the cut of the head! Where is the round typically Lagotto head? 🤔This poor dog looks more like a poodle with beard, now.

I feel the last couple of dogs you've done - today and yesterday - have been examples of dogs with caring owners who have just 'lost control' of their dog's coat, for whatever reason. They're both nicely-behaved, well-fed, clean and look generally healthy - and they both look much, much better now!

I believe I have seen you do this dog before, or maybe it was one just like it. I remember falling in love with the color and those gorgeous little eyes and nose! It is got to be hard to do this, and then return the dog to an owner like that, but you never know somebody circumstances. Wonderful job! Take care and blessings!
