Mattel Disney Cars 3 Cancelled Precision Series Singles - Lightning McQueen, Cruz Ramirez, Ramone

Due to poor sales and lack of retail availability, Mattel cancelled the adult-collector line, the Precision Series. This line consisted of high-quality buildings from Radiator Springs and die-casts with rubber tires and moving features. Unfortunately, when Mattel cancelled the line, a few of the buildings and singles were in early production, resulting in some prototypes leaking out. Over the recent months, prototypes of Rust-eze Lightning McQueen, Rust-eze Racing Center Lightning McQueen, Dinoco Cruz Ramirez and Intro Ramone were sold on Ebay from China. Although they are pre-production samples, they are extremely close to how the final product would look.

I remember watching this when you released this. I was going to a new school, starting 8th grade and was terrified. Great review! By the way, it’s actually accurate that the RRC McQueen has treads and the others don’t. Pixar said years ago on Cars 1 that whenever McQueen appears in Radiator Springs or outside of the Piston Cup he has treads, but whenever he’s on a paved track, he has no treads. I assume Dinoco Cruz And Fabulous McQueen have no treads because they appear in the credits at the Piston Cup

You can actually see treads on his tires when he’s at the Piston Cup. It’s just that all that sand Lightning McQueen collected while in Radiator Springs made the tire treads more visible so yeah he always has treads even though NASCAR normally uses treadless tires.

So sad they cancelled the series. I was happy that i could buy Sarge’s Surplus Hut. My parents said that it’s too expensive & i found deal for 50$ (approximatrly) with shipping. It sucks that Mattel cancelled the awesome Precision Series die cast vehicles... Have you tried collecting Racetrack Talkers? They interact with each other via several phrases! The ones you can get are Lightning McQueen, Jackson Storm, and Cruz Ramirez! But anyways, with all that said, I wish you good luck in college!

Every Cars 3 model was thinner than the originals. I have regular versions of The Fabulous Lightning McQueen and Racing Center Lightning McQueen and both of those are thinner than the first two movie’s Lightning McQueen models.

I love that the precision series is mainly for serious collectors who want to use it for display purposes like other people using some big NASCAR car diecasts to display for their collection. :P I love the precision series cars because of rubber tires and the opening features and more. :)
