ok I wish I had watched this before I took my test and totally blew a question on chebyshev's theorem. It's still early on in the class and I know where I'll be coming for the remainder of class!!! Thanks for posting, you made this very easy to understand :)

Thanks for uploading it. Although i dont understand the point or logic or even use of this theorem but it's important for my exam, so yeah i came here and you explained it better than my textbook so thanks

Man, this is far the BEST explanation about this subject. Your channel is GREAT too! I just wonder how you're still not famous, cause surely it isn't for lack of quality in your videos. Congratulations for the nice job! Greetings from Brazil!

it still does as 95% > 1 - (1/k^2). Chebyshev's doesn't give an exact number it just stipulates that the proportion is equal or greater than 75%...it could be 76%, 77% or even 93%...all it tells us is that it is equal or greater than 75%. In that sense it's doesn't sound very helpful...but it can be used for ALL distributions, not just the normal distribution

How come Chebyshev's Theorem does not correspond with the 68-95-99.7 rule? If the distribution ends up being Normal and we plug in k=2, shouldn't the percentage equal 95% instead of 75%?
