H W 1 Melting point means the fixed temperature on which solid convert into liquid . 2 Boiling point is a fixed temperature on which liquid can boil and convert into gas . 3 Freezing point is a fixed temperature on which the liquid converts into solid . H W-2 To achieve the room temperature the ice at 273 k will absorb latent heat as well as thermal energy . Thus water at 273 k will absorb less environmental heat energy than ice at 273 k therefore ice at 273 k more effective in cooling than water at the same temperature Priyal

hw 1) the temperature at a solid converts to liquid is called melting point 2) the temperature at which a liquid converts to gas is called boiling point 3) the temperature at which a liquid changes to solid is called freezing point 4) 273 K is equal to 0 C which is the melting point of ice. In this stage ice gets converted into water. So the kinetic energy is maximum in ice . But water needs 100 C which is 373 K to be in kinetic energy session was amazing mam

The temperature at which the water starts boiling is known as boiling point. The temperature at which the solid melts to become liquid is known as melting point..

Melting point is the minimum temperature at which solid melts to liquid mam

Homework:Ice at 273 Kelvin is more effective because ice absorb extra heat as latent heat of fusion to become a liquid.water does not absorb extra heat that is the reason ice is more effective than water at same temperature

ma'am, Jelly comes in the catagory of solids, yet it can be squashed so is it an exception?
@niranjan9167

Yes. We also have another exception - sponge. It is solid, but also has pores which allows it to get squashed ( or generally, change its shape )
