Ever thought of setting up a more corporate style business. Build, prototype and manufacture high end furniture for people. You do great stuff, but I recon setting up a production line for maybe kickstarting some minimalist and multifunctional furniture pieces would go great for you. Egh, just an idea

This is a pretty solid little workbench. While once you figure out how it comes together, it is physically Easy to assemble kzbin.infoUgkxyFZUPFEey-PuqsPMxqaykBhgA1LWxFHh by yourself. But the diagrams explaining the steps are really pretty bad. I could not get the handle pins in all the way despite multiple attempts, so I just used a screw I had on hand for the 2nd handle. I could not get the first pin in further or pull it back out. You are supposed to hammer it in, but I had no leverage and the handle is plastic and I did not want to risk breaking it. I will get a lot of use out of the bench because of the convenient size and height. It does fold up nicely for storage. They even explain how to fold it so you don't get pinched...that is important!

The first half of the kzbin.infoUgkx3ICSK6nSknaL_45CU2NmFSoXjarGMDiJ book is everything about wood: types, tools, finishes, setting up shop etc. The second half is all about doing projects for inside and outside of the home. The color pictures are helpful. After reading a dozen of these types of books, this is probably the best overall (layout, color photos, plans). Only detraction is that many of the projects use a table saw/router/planer, which are usually expensive and take up space, so the plans are less friendly to newcomers and the budget conscious. But I know I can use a drill, circular saw or a jigsaw to make the projects.

@@MattEstlea It's a funny thing how satisfying it is to set up a workshop. Not sure why; probably several reasons. Not having to make very detailed plans? The bar for how good looking the things one makes is lower? Building one's own man-cave/I'm in control of my universe? Your vids are always fantastic, thank you! Looking forward to many more.

Great news mate. I've moved my workshop 4 times till I was finally completely happy with one. I think for the channel, from the start it needs to designed so that everything goes. You know the snazzy looking slick woodworking shops you see on here. You definitely have the skills, the tools and good camera presence. You have bits that are great but your new workshop could look banging. And them folks like a banging looking workshop.

P.S. I've been building a Bertha for over a year now with some reclaimed red oak. I only get to work on it a few hours at a time maybe once a month, but it's coming along. Milling all the lumber with no decent jointer and a lunchbox planer takes a while. I'm looking forward to having it done one day though. It's going to be a great addition to my shop.

Extraction- fit it above you (don't use valuable floor space) where you have plenty of room.. You do not 'operate' it, so it does not need to be accessible. Drop hoses means you only need one (not four!) dust extractors.

You know you have a full shop if you have to open a door or window to fart..... When I moved, some one told me, "you will be surprised at how quickly your new shop will fill up". I said nope, it will take about 4 hours.... With your dust collector, I am hoping you will get a centralized system. FAR better than the set up you have now. Also, get a pleated paper filter. They now will filter down to about half a micron, and you get several times the area for the collected air to vent out of. Also a cyclone. Most will have a FM remote on/off switch which means you can start it from anywhere in the shop. I have a video up on 'Sanding hood for bowls' on my channel. You can get far more dust into the extractor, and keep most of it out of the air in the shop. Good luck with the move!
