I was at my home airport on a Sunday and it was late in the afternoon. Brandywine KOQN had a 3000-foot runway and jets could land there. A jet landed, a Citation, and it parked on the ramp at the terminal building. No one was there except for myself and a friend. A man got out and asked me where the nearest restaurant was. I told him he should have flown 13 miles west to Chester County Carlson as there was a restaurant on the field. I asked him where he was flying to but he said he was just out flying for the day. He was from California. KOQN is near Philadelphia. I usually took an Archer, never thought to take a jet.

Harris Ranch (3O8) - Now we’re talking! Yes the Waypoint Cafe at Camarillo (CMA) is a great “fly in” restaurant, with a great aviation community, and much to see; ditto with the aviation community and aircraft at Santa Paula (SZP). But for some serious eats, Harris Ranch can’t be beat. If you would like to enjoy an ”adult beverage” with your dinner, just be sure to plan ahead and reserve a room for the night at the Harris Inn to cover the old “eight hours bottle-to-throttle” rule, then you can even catch a great breakfast breakfast before departing the next day!

Hey Matt just a curiosity.. I have noticed on many of your( awesome) videos that you lower the gear quite early during descent. Is that a standard procedure for the Bonanza or you were trying a steeper than usual approach? BTW well done on your first Jet landing.

Matt Is the restaurant as good if not better than the one at Katama in Martha's Vineyard? I made two trips there last summer because of your video and recommendation. I mentioned your name and they all knew you. Also, the lease agreement for the restaraunt requires that pilots be given some priority so long as they call in advance. I flew a Mooney M20C with 4 people into that grass strip on a summer day just for the experience. I figured if you could do it in a Bonanza, I could do it in a Mooney. The book said we had more than sufficient room for the takeoff. I made sure we did NOT top off the tanks, just to play it safe. After we broke ground, we stayed in ground effect for a while to accelerate before the climb out. It's a beautiful airport. The people who run the operation at Katama are great, and you were right the food was awesome. But how does it compare to the food in the above video? When Katama offers lobster and steak for breakfast along with awesome pancakes, you can't say the two restaurants are not comparable even though they are a nation apart. Thanks in advance.

Considering your honest debate on the bonanza vs 205/206/210 would you say that a family of 4 and 2 extra passenger could easily travel in your bonanza or what would you say an honest full tank max useful load would be in comparison?? Huge huge student pilot 👨✈️ fan.

Speaking of Harrison Ford, what's your stance on return to runway, Matt? I consider it a simple fact that with a decent climb angle you always have energy to glide back but surprisingly most pilots seem to believe that it's not possible and that ditching is preferable.
