South Valley was my first introduction to General Aviation. My parents got me an intro flight for my 16th birthday. Years later when I got my private pilot license I picked my dad up from the same airport to take him flying for his birthday. When you entered the pattern in this video N742TW was taking the runway which is one of the planes I’ve been working on my instrument training in. Great video. Fun to watch flying in airspace I’m familiar with.

at 17:11 triple gauge FCU pressure starts to rise ultimately to 55 ATM, assume you were at 100%~106% power on your Touch and Go. This partially answers the question of Maximum FCU pressure you have seen/experienced. We know the FCU Pressure gauge and Manual Red Line Limit is 65 ATM. But what happens at 75 ATM? or 85 ATM? We seek to put out a Safety Bulletin; but need actual data at these FCU numbers... Anyone that wants to help please contact me, Rob Mangold.

Wow you two have a great relationship in the air, both logging those touch and go and landings. How fun to sneak a barrel roll in there just S&G! I think when you took that first flight in the Mig a while go I knew you were going to be buying a surplus jet somehow or another! What an AWESOME decision to get this thing, how cool is it to say you have your own trianer jet?!?! Amazing!!

Ah, those reliable antique engines! LOL I was just looking at Wendover and wondering if they could move the Reno Air Races there from Reno Stead. Plenty of space, and even some local accommodation. Not as convenient as Reno for California people, but a long way from the nearest large city.

Question: are those ammunition bunkers in a row in the background? Lots of fences around for nuke storage, or just one perimeter one? (I’ve seen the field from I-80 and wondered about the bunkers)
@AFO3310 Жыл бұрын
@@doughudgens9275 It's mostly aircraft hangars lining the field these days. Some just rotting away and some the guard still use. Everything else outside of the terminal and Officers Club turned museum is old barracks or remnants of the base.

G,day Matt from Sydney Australia. Firstly thank you for your time and channel. Q1. What is the issue with the engine in the Bonanza that may be (or is) the affecting an AD? Q2. With the Licence issued by the FAA has it specified the 'type of jet or number of passengers' as a type rating? Blue skies, have fun! 🇭🇲🌏

Dearest Matt i wonder if you can help - i wonder if you might be able to do a couple of videos highlighting anti-collision devices, perhaps cover a few variations, different aircraft, light and commercial, get some pilots views etc - maybe you have done one, (i need to check) i'm sure i remember you having such a download on your tablet, i know with much of the glass cockpit avionics you use (have used) probably cover this - i'm sure i remember hearing the auditable noises made in your headset, and for example alerts to close aircraft frequently, especially when in formation in light of recent accidents, i feel these videos would serve importantly and possible save some lives of pilots new to aviation especially those in light aircraft - but i also feel the FAA are failing every pilot out there, every family of those pilots present and past - if only 30% of the US light aircraft were not fitted with such a device - it be suicide to fly you could be the safest person on the planet, a great pilot, a great driver, but there is always one idiot who see you, even stepping out the front door is dangerous - and i also feel very strongly that every plane should be fitted with a GPS locator, even a phone could work - there needs to be a campaign to force the FAA to make these rules compulsory what you think - PS great video

I think Owen made a better choice going in on a Citation I/SP, for both safety and practicality. But you're both at the mercy of unknown maintenance costs to one extent or another, so hopefully the learning experiences will make up for any financial hits. Likewise, some lessons might be learned about shared ownership, where there can be 1000 sources of friction and disagreement. Good luck with that. I hope you didn't put in more than you're willing to lose and walk away from.

It had been employed as a light-fighter as well as a light-trainer/multirole aircraft within some air forces but I don't recall whether it has seen any action.. I recall one or two former iron curtain forces called it that but then again not sure if listing it as a light-fighter would make it a "fighter" :)
