Matt. I met you at FD STL 2019. I was blown away seeing the r34 I loved so much in person and we talked about how legendary the nighttime reveal video was on the r34! You walked me around your cars introduced me to your editor and treated me like I was the only dude at the track. You inspired me to take my Z to the track and become a driver. You’ve inspired my cars so much, rb kit on my Z, Sr swapped my hatch etc. You’ve taught me what it means to be a driver and a light to those around you. When I pulled up to NSB and saw the rig and the 34 I started talking with my folks about the Minnesota boy who I grew up watching and how much it means to be apart of an event driving with you. Matt, you’ve saved my life more than once. I’ve never been suicidal, but I did turn to drugs. I lost sister in 2020, she was killed by her husband and I was wrecked. My whole family was, but I caught onto your channel one night when I seen you drifting on assetto. And then I seen that you were also a professional drifter. Or rather going pro, because it’s a never ending climb of course. But you really taught me patience and love for the sport of drifting. And you also taught me that it’s okay to deal with losses as long as you take them the right way. You’ve taught me to be strong when I always felt weak, or under capable.
