He had the tunes cranked and was making a racket at like 2 am. People called the police to quiet him down..he ignored or did not hear them pounding on the door so they had no choice but to enter and then they found his bong and lord knows what else he is not telling us lol. Then he got belligerent and well yeah..he got arrested in his own home. Now perhaps the neighbors are jerks for not knocking on his door and asking him to turn it down (or perhaps they did and he never heard them either lol) . If he would have answered the door when the police were knocking it would have ended there as they had no grounds to enter. I doubt you would find it BS if he was keeping you up thru the night playing his conga's to African music lol

Wrong. The cops thought they were just going to tell somebody to keep the noise down, which they should've done for the neighbors' sake. I played hockey in Austin at this time and we were in a bar on 6th street. The owner was a fan of our team so we were able to drink there for free. There was a huge commotion at the front door and the owner said to us "It's that fucking Mcconaughey again! He causes too much shit!" Me and another teammate looked at each other then said "Do you want us to go kick him out?" He said seriously? Please do. So we walk over to the door and it was MM, some other guy and two huge security gaurds. MM had a white shirt on that was stained yellow, and he could barely open his eyes. We said "Sorry Matthew, the owner doesn't want the extra commotion in here tonight.....you should go elsewhere." No joke, he said "Alright fellas, have a nice night!" He was so cool about it. This was the Saturday night before his arrest.
